This week’s giveaway comes from a site that so chock full o’ good stuff that it was a challenge to hone in on the perfect freebie items for this week. We’re talking about Artful Home, a virtual window into over a thousand artists’ studios that gives you access to 12,000+ original art pieces – from wall art and sculpture to furniture and accessories. It’s kinda like Etsy, but contributing artists are all professionals who are selected by a panel of art adjudicators.
So we sifted through the site and fell in love with several pillows and, since we couldn’t settle on just one, we’re letting this week’s lucky winner choose from the four pillows shown below: the nature-inspired linen pillows by Mariah Wren or the graphic, eye-chart pillow by Heather Lins. I know, tough decision, eh?

As an artist, that has traded lots of art with colleagues and friends over the years it’s hard to pick a favorite. Currently in the lead might be the painting my best friend gave me that his father painted.

I heart art! My favorite piece is currently a large vintage painting of Yosemite Falls. I picked it up at Good Will for $7! I’ve yet to repaint the old wood frame white but it looks great hanging in the living room above my great-grandmother’s writing desk.

My favorite art piece in our home was a wedding gift from my mother to my husband. It’s a frame with two pictures in it that I drew when I was a little girl: one of my mom and one of my dad. I think I would choose the anemone pillow — it’s beautiful. Thanks for offering this contest!

My favorite piece of art in our house is a painting the hubs and I picked up on our honeymoon. We felt very adult-like picking out a painting down in Brazil. Now, it hangs above our sofa and it’s a nice reminder of our fantastic time in Brazil.

My favorite art piece is a framed piece of sheet metal. My brother cut out a picture of our alma mater’s mascot, mounted it on a board painted one of my school colors, and gave it to me for Christmas. We have plenty of pieces that most would consider better art, but that piece has sentimental value. I love it.

…especially when i make it myself. my personal favs are a b&w photo of my sister that I took, developed, and framed in a high school photography class about a million years ago and an old wire sculpture that was salvaged from an abandoned magician studio. (we think it was used as part of the saw a lady in half trick.) with a coat of fresh spray paint, it looks amazing on our loft’s soaring wall.

I have many pieces in my house I love. In fact, a lot of them I did in college. (One of the few business majors and art minors in the world….art kept me sane.) My favorite art piece is a large, large painting above my couch I painted as my senior project. It is of dancers set at night. It takes me back to college each time I look at it!

I heart ART! My favorite piece is a large architectural drawing that my best friend performed while in art school. She gave it to us as a Christmas gift and we later matted and framed it.
