This week’s giveaway comes from a site that so chock full o’ good stuff that it was a challenge to hone in on the perfect freebie items for this week. We’re talking about Artful Home, a virtual window into over a thousand artists’ studios that gives you access to 12,000+ original art pieces – from wall art and sculpture to furniture and accessories. It’s kinda like Etsy, but contributing artists are all professionals who are selected by a panel of art adjudicators.
So we sifted through the site and fell in love with several pillows and, since we couldn’t settle on just one, we’re letting this week’s lucky winner choose from the four pillows shown below: the nature-inspired linen pillows by Mariah Wren or the graphic, eye-chart pillow by Heather Lins. I know, tough decision, eh?

My favorite art piece is a painting one of our groomsen did in college. He was a fine arts major and the painting is of a bunch of stories from his college days. It is very abstract and colorful. When we first got it I thought it was a little too loud and wasn’t quite my style but now I want more!

My favorite piece of art that I own is a classical guitar that my grandfather made a really long time ago! The wood that he used is gorgeous, and it was crafted perfectly. He played it so much that you can see his finger prints in the G chord. It hangs on my wall and I consider it a piece of art.

My favorite piece of art is a watercolor print of the cobblestone street leading up to the 750 year old church on the corner nearest my Oma’s house in tiny Goldbach, Germany. It’s both beautiful and highly personal. My grandmother has the same print above her fireplace, and I know I’ll always have it in my home.

I think my favorite pieces are in my “art hallway” where I have three large white frames with white mats and the kids get to pick their “masterpiece” to put in there. They can always change. Right now is a colorful bear from my 5 year old, my 3 year old’s first smiley face, and a beautiful line drawing :0) from my 10 month old!

My favorite piece of art in my house is actually 2 pieces both done by 17 year old daughter. One she gave me for mothers day and one she just did recently. I love her art and I am sooo proud of her.
