Many years ago I found an adorable, casual khaki skirt on sale for $19.50 and then had a $15 off coupon, so I paid $4.50 total for a great everyday item!
I also found/bought a cute pale pink purse at a yard sale for $2 – made me and my wallet happy :)

I’m not sure what my best deal has been since I am the queen of deals. I love to garage sale and hit up the clearance racks. I did buy a gorgeous headboard this summer marked down from $900 to $200 and there was not a single thing wrong with it other than the matching footboard was nowhere to be found. Didn’t need it anyway. This weekend I got a cool reproduction of a midieval chair for $10 at a yard sale. Love it!!

A craiglist find – I stumbled upon a narrow end table that someone was selling. I managed to talk them down to $2! Brought it home, sanded and painted solid black. It’s now our mailstand and looks like it’s straight out of Pottery Barn!

I work in Marketing for a home decor national retail chain, so the best deals I’ve ever encountered have to be the sample sales we used to have. Of all that I’ve attended, my best deal had to be about 5 years ago where I filled a VERY large shopping bag until it was overflowing with candles, candle holders, small wall decor, vases, frames and other little decor pieces – all for only $5! Let’s just say Christmas hardly cost me anything that year!

Probably one of my favorite scores was actually something from a family member. My cousin is an interior designer and as part of one of her senior design projects, she had to create a lamp that could be mass produced for fairly cheap. She created these great lamps out of two pieces of wood, cut with a jigsaw in a cool damask inspired pattern. You’d have to see it! I paid her $30 to make me one and I’ve loved having it ever since!
