Fab Freebie: So Haute In Here

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Who doesn’t love a sale? Especially when it’s to the tune of 50-75% off retail. Well that’s exactly how HauteLook rolls when it comes to creating 48-hour deeply discounted sales on home items (as well as clothing and beauty stuff too). A new sale pops up every morning at 11am EST, but here’s a sampling of what was up for grabs last week:

Hautelook Tiles

And one of you is gonna get $100 to spend on HauteLook this week, meaning you could snag items like an $850 graphic rug for just 80 bucks out of your own pocket. Not too shabby…

Hautelook Rugs

Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: $100 towards anything on HauteLook.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M HAUTE” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about the all-time best deal you’ve ever scored. Was it an incredible sale that landed you a deep discount? Or maybe you bartered your way to something for free?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 20th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

This giveaway’s random winner is… Valerie J (who’s scored a $4000 Restoration Hardware armoire for only $315 just because the top crown molding was busted). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from HauteLook.

Oh how I love a deal!!! I never by anything full-price so it’s hard to think of the “best” deal I’ve ever gotten. If I had to pick, I’d say it’s probably the house we just purchased at several thousand off the price it would have been 3 years ago :) Now is the time to buy and I wish ya’ll the best as you house hunt in the Richmond area!

ok first off… I check Hautelook.com EVERYDAY at 11EST for their sales, they’re AMAZING! I’m obsessed!

second off… best deal, was probably my free deal when I decided to refinish my desk I’ve had since I was in middle school, was white, stained, scratched and ready for the curb. I decided to do my first real big DIY (outside of small craft projects prior to this) and sanded, painted and finished it off w/ reupholstering the chair.. Now it’s our new beauty in the living room. Best score of a brand new fancy looking desk for the low cost of $15.00 for paint. WAHOO!

Hubby snagged a really nice server from the retirement community that he works at for free! They had used it as a bookdrop, so we had to get rid of some attached lumber and paint, but otherwise it was a good, vintage find!

best deal: $300 pair of leather boots – 70% because store was going out of business = $90, only size left was display size (mine) and they looked all scratched up, so the salesperson gave them to me for $40. Got them buffed for $5 and they looked perfect!

I’m Haute! We got silverware sets from a model home sale that was a steal! I also once got 2 wicker ottomans, a tray and a larger tray with a stand on CL for $40. They all still had their tags on and the little tray alone read $45, all from the JC Penny Home Studio Home line. The lady selling said she wanted something larger scale and couldn’t ship them back. Lucky for us we like clean smaller pieces:)!

I am the worst at asking someone to go lower with a price. When I’m at a yard sale, if something isn’t worth it to me at the price listed then I just set it down and walk away! But a couple of weeks ago I found an antique childrens desk for $2.50. I snatched it up, put a few coats of yellow paint on it and now my daughter loves it!

I’m haute! I’m also a sucker for a great deal, so bring it on. :)

My favorite steals and deals are when family members are giving away amazing home decor items/furnishings. Turns out I have trouble saying ‘no’ when the price tag says ‘free!’ Plus, I love when something has a story or sentimental value.
