I made a terrible decision while shopping for my wedding dress to go to this incredible little boutique. Sure enough, my dress dress cost over $3k. Well, that’s a bit too much for my bank account. I was randomly looking for an apartment on Craiglists and found MY dress in MY size. The seller even listed the designer’s name incorrectly (spelling error), so it was as if I was made to find that dress and score it for less than a quarter of its retail price!

This is going to sound so strange, but we got two crib mattresses for free off of Freecycle and put them in our playroom with a big blanket over it….safe jumping zone for the kids. Now if they are jumping on the sofa or their beds, we can just say, “If you want to jump, go in the playroom!” Best 0$ ever spent. :)

I think the best freebie I ever recieved was a display book from a store that was closing. It was a pop-up book full of fairies, and at least six inches thick. My daughter was in fairy heaven!

b/c I scored an entire set of chef knives for $5 at a yardsale that we have been using for the past couple years at our Alma Matter’s Homecoming Tailgate! I’m Haute! I’m quite the bargain shopper, so it’s kinda hard to pick just one thing. BUT if I have to… When I was working at the Target return desk, this lady came in and returned a HUGE wood-framed mirror. It was a piece from the Market Bazaar collection, which only came around once a year, and it was beautiful! She said she couldn’t figure out how to hang it. It was originally $150…but they had just recently marked all the MB stuff down to 90% off..so it was $15!!!! I was the lucky duck who got to do the return, and in those days, we could ‘claim’ something if it was returned and would be a steal, like this mirror. All my coworkers wanted that thing. I didn’t even wait until I clocked out to buy it, for fear of someone else snagging it on my lunch break! I still love that mirror; it rests on our mantle over the fireplace. :)
