    My most EXCELLENT deal ever was 2 LAAARGE pair of faux wood blinds from Lowes for 3 bucks a piece. I brought them home and they fit like a glove! SCORE!

    I’m haute! My best deal was a pair of designer jeans for $6. I’ve had them now for 6 years and am having troubles finding a pair to replace them!

    I’m Haute!!

    This isn’t a deal I scored on, but still fantastic. Some of my family were at a really nice arts and crafts fair and stopped by a nice jeweler who was selling there. Apparently the owner had not told his employees that he was leaving for lunch and left HOURS ago and had yet to show up again, so none of them could take any breaks either (and their booth set up was not exactly well shaded on a sweltering day which makes it even worse.) So the employees were giving what they called “Disgruntled Workers Discounts” on everything. My sister-in-law scored this GORGEOUS multi-stone ring for dirt cheap. I don’t know if that’s really the best way to deal with some work issues — but some people got some amazing stuff for next to nothing! Sad I missed out!

    I was shopping at a Wal-mart while they were renovating. I just happened to be there when they marked down everything in the home department, they had ridiculous sale prices. I spent around $60 for my new home (I’m talking floor lamps, table lamps, Canopy mattress covers, drapes, mini blinds), saving about $280.

    I’M HAUTE. I try to always be a bargain shopper, but I’d have to say that our dining room table was one of the best deals. We got it for 70% off at Crate & Barrel because it was the floor model, and it was our first “grown-up” furniture purchase together :)

    I’m a bargain shopper so I’ve scored a lot of great deals but my best one I think was the brand new, never taken out of the box cuisinart food processor I found at Goodwill for a mere $10.

    The best bargin I got was acutally a group of things. When I bought my house, it was actually my first time living alone. I didn’t have anything to my name other than the obvious clothes and my bed. My assistant manager gave me a dining room table, couch, chair, dishes, paintings….I was so lucky to have those things just given to me. I’m hoping when I decide to upgrade and find things of my choosing that I will be able to give them to someone that may be in need as well.

    I’m Haute! Best recent deal – I purchase 4, $20 frames complete with mattings for $4 each at Target to put prints I already had in and hang in baby #2’s nursery. I’m so glad I was dragging my feet and not wanting to spend so much at Michael’s!

    A $14 vessel sink from Home Depot. I needed two and they only had one in stock. I basically had to beg them give me the display model with me willing to pay full price. Was ecstatic when they said yes, but even more so when they gave it to me for 75% off!

    I’M Haute!!! I guess it would be the great bath vanity that I got for a steal at an salvage place in Baltimore. Beautiful, all wood, almost brand new and it fit like a charm.

    I’m Haute! I guess my best deal would be our patio set. When we built our deck, we got such a discount through the contractor desk at Home Depot that our patio set ended up free b/c we saved more than it costs.

    We were at the PB Outlet and found a down-filled Square Grand Armchair for $99!!! The catch… didn’t have a slip cover,(no tears, rips, etc.) but they happen to have one that fit it in the EXACT color our couch was for again $99 so we got a $1300 chair from PotteryBarn for $178 after a 10% off coupon!

    I’m Haute!! I had been dreaming of reupholstering a wingback chair for a while, one day I was out with my husband and we stumbled on an old thrift store…there were literally 10 items in the store, one of which was a wingback chair!! I scored that baby for 20 bucks! woohoo

    I’m haute! It’s tough to find good furniture deals without a car to get to big stores here in DC. My best deal was probably back in OR at the gap outlet mall. I bought skirts, fleeces and cords for like $3 a piece. I still wear some of these nearly 10 years later!

    We got a beautiful antiquey white bed frame FREE. We complained to the store about a crack in it after we had received it & they reimbursed us the price…and then never came back to pick it up…It was a $500 bed!!

    Our Goodwill store gets a lot of cast-offs from the Target down the street and I looove bargain shopping so I’ve scored a few deals in the past, but one of my latest shopping trips landed me a brand new Target mirror for $2! The best part is that I found it (just down the street) at the Target later that day for $45!! A while back I bought a brand-new, still-in-the-box $100 Target desk for only $6!

    I once bought a lamp and 2 shades at a garage sale for $8, bought a new shade at IKEA for $20, then turned around sold the two garage sale shades for $30. So, basically I got a free lamp and shade with a bonus $2. =D
