Having two small children both in diapers I feel like I am constantly throwing money out the window. So I was very impressed with myself when I bought 2 boxes of Huggies diapers for $4.00. $2/each…those are the type of bargains that I get overly excited for:)

I still cannot believe it myself, but I just scored about 400SF of wood flooring for FREE just by walking my dog by a construction site and chatting with the guys working there. Normally I wouldn’t recommend this as an activity for a single woman to do, but dang, I can hardly beat the deal! I have a friend that can install and finish it, so badda bing, new floor for about $300!

Let’s see, best deal I ever scored…honestly, and much to my husband’s dismay, I am a HORRIBLE bargain shopper. So, how about a good deal my husband recently found? A lovely new TV for our family room off Craigslist for $50. He’s so proud. :)

My two dressers! One was an Ethan Allen 8 drawer found at a thirft store for $75 and one was a 1952 Denver Dry Good purchase smooth front dresser I found on Craigslist we are currently refinishing for $100. Def. my best finds ever!

My husband broke our bed frame two weeks ago and cracked our headboard in the process :( but I found a listing on craigslist for a metal scroll work canopy bed for $30 including the bed frame! When i got there the guy gave it to me for free b/c he didn’t realize that the frame and bed were two different colors :)

I scored an old rotary stamp holder – junk trailer at the local dump – that had 3 levels of clips for stamps; I painted it, refurbed it and turned it into a (taper) candle holder. I wish I had a picture, because it got ruined in a move. It was fabulous and I got compliments all the time!

The most excellent deal I ever got was a complete 8 serving 1963 Mikasa Asterisk dish set (included the coffee service set and all serving dishes) at a yard sale for $35.The only flaw in the entire set was one dish had a chip. It’s our good china.
