***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Who doesn’t love a sale? Especially when it’s to the tune of 50-75% off retail. Well that’s exactly how HauteLook rolls when it comes to creating 48-hour deeply discounted sales on home items (as well as clothing and beauty stuff too). A new sale pops up every morning at 11am EST, but here’s a sampling of what was up for grabs last week:

Hautelook Tiles

And one of you is gonna get $100 to spend on HauteLook this week, meaning you could snag items like an $850 graphic rug for just 80 bucks out of your own pocket. Not too shabby…

Hautelook Rugs

Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: $100 towards anything on HauteLook.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M HAUTE” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about the all-time best deal you’ve ever scored. Was it an incredible sale that landed you a deep discount? Or maybe you bartered your way to something for free?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 20th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

This giveaway’s random winner is… Valerie J (who’s scored a $4000 Restoration Hardware armoire for only $315 just because the top crown molding was busted). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from HauteLook.

I scored two antique windows for $20. I found similar ones going on ebay for over $200 each! I love Craigslist!
The seller got rid of them cheap due to lead paint, but I wanted to hang them on the fence in my little garden. SCORE!

I’M HAUTE! I think my best deal is a tie between the white gold and (small) diamond ring I bought at a garage sale for 50 cents or the time I saved 100% at the grocery store and kept the receipt as proof!

I’M HAUTE and the best deal I ever scored was my sewing classes, which are about $75/semester for weekly classes (10-plus 3-hour classes). And with my mad sewing skills, I can make all kinds of housewares, some of which I give as gifts! (Just don’t ask me how much I pay for my cute designer fabrics…)

    I’M HAUTE!

I have a beautiful, enormous antique sideboard that I found for $45 in an old chicken house turned roadside antique/thrift shop that was a few miles from my house when I lived in Southern Pines, NC. I call him ‘Frankenstein’ because of his size, because a few of his parts aren’t original, and because my mom thinks he’s a bit of a monster and should be replaced with something a little prettier. But he’s pretty to me, holds a ton of stuff, and I love him dearly.
Plus on the day I bought Frank I got him into my house all by myself, which I still don’t know how I accomplished, although I recall it involved backing my truck up across the front lawn to within inches of the front door.

I’M HAUTE…and I picked up this awesome table, but I don’t know what it’s official name is, for free! It’s ugly as sin, and needs refinished, but I love it because it’s quirky. Where the table pulls apart to add a leaf, there’s a gear that runs on two “racks” of teeth. I’ve never seen a table like it, and I don’t know where to even begin searching!

I got macy’s to let me use two coupons on a wedding registry item. it may not seem like a big deal, but the people at macys have gotten extremely picky about coupons and about using them for registry items which seems like such a scam to me.

I was at an estate sale searching out a coffee table and I found a beautiful stone and marble table for close to $400. The price tag was sad, but I loved it so much and I had just gotten paid so I was going to go for it. I went to “check out” and I knew the person running the sale and he let me have it for $250! Not too shabby..:)
