I stumbled upon the most beautiful, perfect-fitting wedding dress at Goodwill for $10!!!! I bought it, because, what’s the harm? But found I loved it and nothing else fit as well or looked as good. I wore it the day-of and looking at the pics, I can’t believe I found such as amazing dress for only $10. I’ll definitely never get a deal as good as that again. Once in a lifetime.

My FAVORITE place to shop right now (I know it’s a little weird) is Yankee Candle… not only are their candles GREAT, but they give fabulous coupons if you’re a regular shopper. Just a few weeks ago, I had several buy one get one coupons… I ended up with $150 worth of candles for $75. I call that a deal!

and I have 2. First, is an amazing antique bed that I got for free b/c my parents got it for free. It’s been in our family for over 100 years, but was forgotten in my great-great grandmother’s old farm house that was condemned. When the ‘rents got married, they needed a bed, found this one and got it sandblasted. It’s gorgeous and I fall a little more in love with it every time I see it in a new room. :)
2nd is not decor related at all. But I flew from Atlanta to Nice, France and then back from Rome, Italy to Atlanta ALL FIRST CLASS for $325. Yay college :)

My best deal was actually on haute couture! At Neiman Marcus Last Call, I scored an over $400 Badgley Mischka dress for under $100. My mom also got a $1000something suit for around $200 that same trip!

My favorite deal I ever got was a Tassimo machine. It was in the as-is section of Bed, Bath, and Beyond (box was damaged) for $50. I used a 20% coupon and then applied for the $50 rebate. I not only ended up getting the machine for free, but made 10 buckaroos!

Virtually everything I purchase is on sale or at a discounted store but I don’t have an all-time greatest bargain story. So I’ll steal my friends. She went to Pier 1 during a clearance sale that was 90% off the sale prices of all items – somehow someway she obtained a dining room table set (pretty too!) for $0.99. Yes 99 cents. Way to set the bar.

“I’M HAUTE” AND the best deal I ever scored was a pair of metal retro porch chairs that were in mint condition, sitting in someone’s trash pile! I rescued them from their doom, and will soon be giving them a nice bright coat of red spray paint! Great for my porch, AND for the chairs that would have been sitting in a landfill.

I’M HAUTE and the best deals I’ve ever found were all in decorating my D.C. apartment — a $100 Flokati rug from Overstock.com, a $320 CB2 Marcel sofa from D.C.’s Crate and Barrel Outlet, a $400 BoConcept chair at the store’s floor sample sale, and a $120 Parsons table and $80 white leather floor lamp from a West Elm floor sample sale.
