and the best deal i’ve ever come across is the coffee table in my den that was
priced at $800 but was damaged in shipping. The owner of the shop did not
want to pay to ship it back so he let me take it off his hands for $100. And it’s flaws are perfectly shabby chic, in my opinion.

ACK! How hard is it to remember? I ALWAYS try to get a deal. One good story: I found my wedding dress and the sample at the store was in great shape AND fit me. They told me it would be sold 10% off the regular price. The next day I came back and looked again. And I said, “So, it’s 20% off for a sample, right?” And they just played right along and said, “Yes, that’s right.” And so I got it for 20% off!

I’m Haute and…my best deal was probably our 7ft dining room table! For $400 we got the super heavy table made from unfinished 100-year old roof rafters and finished it ourselves. About a month later we saw the exact same table finished and on SALE for $1500! I’d say that’s a deal! Ecofriendly, built to last, historic and cheap!!!
