Fab Freebie: Roll On Some Royalty

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below!***

Sorry for the late notice (travel is messing up my winner picking mojo!), but the random winner of this stencil prize is… Jen (who once “made a chevron painting with instructions I found on Pinterest and it turned out great”). Congrats Jen!

The love of stencils that first blossomed when we did our office walls only grew stronger when we tackled a couple of stenciling projects for our book (on pages 26 & 282). So in the spirit of sharing the love, this week’s prize comes from the maker of the very stencils that we used in all three cases – Royal Design Studio. We’re longtime fans of their modern shapes and patterns, and they’re starting you off with a $100 stencil gift card and throwing in a $100 “Stencil Success Kit” that includes the essentials for executing your stencil project. You’ll get a roller set, 7 brushes, and your choice of five stencil crémes. And to top it all off, how about a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice? That totals a $250 kick in the pants to get your stencil on.

Royal Design Studio Giveaway

  • PRIZE: $100 stencil gift card to Royal Design Studio, plus a “Stencil Success Kit” and a $50 paint allowance to the paint store of your choice
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “STENCIL ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … one DIY project that you’ve tackled once and are dying to try again. Is it a paint project? Something building related? Are you itching to take another whack at a crafting or sewing project?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Nov 14th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States.
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Royal Design Studio.

    STENCIL ME!
I just finished painting and replacing the pulls on a cruddy old filing cabinet. I painted it teal and then tackled an old step stool to match. I love how they look in my office, updated and funky, and I’m dying to paint some other stuff! (I think I’ll tackle the nightstands from my matching [boring] bed set next.)

I built and upholstered a headboard for our master bedroom – and then we moved and painted so it no longer works in the room. I’ve vowed to get to it by the end of the year.

Ironically I stenciled my bedroom wall a few months ago and now am planning on doing our 1/2 bath/powder room! This is a perfectly timed giveaway :)

    STENCIL ME!

When we moved into our house, we had to paint the whole thing – all the rooms, celings, etc. Now I really want to repaint a couple rooms with better colors. I’d love to use a stencil on one of the walls in our bedroom too!

“STENCIL ME!” I redid a yard sale chair a few years back and just recently picked up a coffee table that I CANNOT WAIT to redo with a bright paint and upholstered top. We are also going to be working on updating our kitchen soon too. A stenciled backsplash would be a cheap alternative to tiling it.

    STENCIL ME!

I am wanting to do DIY curtains with fabric paint and need a stencil! I can’t find anything with the color that I want, so I decided to give it a go on the curtains like I did on a rug. Luckily that didn’t require a stencil, just some tape!

I’ve actually got stenciling going on in many of the rooms in my house – walls, floors or furniture. I’d like to try stenciling a wooden box with darker stains to create faux marquetry.

Stencil Me! Our biggest DIY project we’ve tackled so far is replacing a claw foot bathtub with a whirlpool tub in the only bathroom in the house. Next DIY project is painting our entire first level of our house, a stencil would add a fun pop on our accent wall.

About 2 years ago, we redecorated our office by painting the walls a deep blue gray bringing in white furniture with pops of orange. Now we’re redecorating the same room for as a nursery! Would love to stencil and accent wall behind the crib!

I’m pretty new at this DIY thing so not too many projects to redo but I could go through every room in my house and tell you what I would like to do the first time. I already brought a stencil for upstairs but I would love one for the guest bedroom. After all, they should sleep in style too.

My husband built boxes to hang on the wall. We hung them in clumps of four in our daughter’s room to provide tons of book storage. I’ve been begging him to build me 4 more to hang in our guest bedroom. I think hanging the boxes on the wall and stenciling the wall behind the boxes only would be a fabulous look!!
