Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Southerners are all about the handwritten notes. I don’t have a typical writing style per-say but I do have a pen. Bought in bulk, I’m obsessed with Pilot Precise V5 in extra fine. Perfection.

I have really nice looking cursive handwriting, so I try to write in cursive as much as I can!

Did you know that they have now started phasing out cursive in schools? “They” say it is a waste of time! :(

I will definitely be teaching my children how to write in cursive!

Lordy those are pretty cards. My writing is a mix of cursive and print–quasi-legible, depending on the day. I love that my mom, my grandma and my great-aunt all have similar lovely, almost gothic script, from having grown up in Austria.

    Wow! PRESS ME too!

These are gorgeous! It amazes me how beautiful stationary makes me want to hand write letters instead of shooting off ill-thought out emails to people.

I write exclusively in print but my “s”es tend to be cursive (I have no idea why) but I feel I have more control over printing rather than cursive, and it is legible so I go with it. I also write quickly so my cursive has a tendency to look bad, and well, who wants to go to all the trouble of writing a hand written letter if the writing itself looks bad?!

I also never write hand written letters except for Christmas time. I am that friend or relative you never hear from but once a year, but I do write something very heart felt and individual in every single Christmas card. Never just a signature- I hate that :)

My hand-writing has gotten atrocious, now that my fingers are used to typing. But, I love notecards and stationery too much to never write. I have a weird cursive/print hybrid that manages to change every 3 lines or so. Ah well. Cute paper makes up for it!

I’m a big fan of old-fashioned hand-written correspondence in this electronic age :) My handwriting is rather boring – lots of math and science notations given my engineering background. That’s why fun stationary is the edge I need to feel more creative in my writing!!

My mother taught first grade so I have stellar penmanship. :) There’s even a family rumor that I started coloring/writing with my left hand and she moved the writing utensil to my right until I did it on my own.(I do everything left handed… except write.) I typically print my letters but have a very legible cursive signature.

I’m not a big “handwritten” person but I write in cursive as needed. I was encouraged to start journaling as part of a residency program I’m doing & it’s been interesting to look at my handwriting & how it changes especially depending on my emotions at the time of writing.

I, too, am a printer. The only thing I write in cursive these days is my signature. Often, laziness leads me to not even include appropriate capitalization – unless it’s for work. It’s been a long fall from those “A’s” in handwriting when I was little, LOL!
