Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I have a dozen different styles, not on purpose, it just depends on which way my hand and fingers take me….or is it the state of my mind at the time I am writing and it is my mind that takes over my hand?

I always had a fondness for cursive, but I never liked my own. So in my early years I discovered a a cursive & standard print I liked and re worked it into my handwriting. I wouldn’t have a clue what my real handwriting would look like!

I’m a hybrid writer: mostly cursive with some print thrown in, plus a healthy dash of differently-shaped letters. I’m left-handed which I blame for my invention of odd-looking t’s, g’s, and capital h’s. My handwriting can be hard to read sometimes, but everyone agrees that it looks pretty cool!

My normal, everyday handwriting is a sort of messy hybrid of cursive and print. My handwriting is nice if I slow down–like when writing a nice note to someone. My best friend writes in all caps, which I am astounded by. I’ve tried-it takes forever for me. His writing never looks sloppy though–always neat.

I was really proud of my handwritting back in high school. Now? not so much. Not because it has worsened, but because I never grew out of the really roundy teenage shapes… and looks silly in an adult. Wait. Did I just call myself an adult? This whole engagement thing is taking its toll on me.

My handwriting varies constantly – sometimes I write in cursive, sometimes in print, sometimes chicken scratch! Sometimes when I am interviewing someone or taking notes at a meeting it changes throughout a single page – several times! I do very much believe in the power of a handwritten letter though – especially on beautiful stationery!

I am an interior designer and over the years it’s been forced upon me to write in block all caps so that’s now my go-to style of writing. But, I’m slightly obsessed with calligraphy, so I always make sure to address envelopes, Christmas cards and anything else special with some seriously flourished script.

PRESS ME! I am known in my circle of friends as the one with the bad handwriting. I used to have great handwriting- I blame all the typing I do for getting me out of practice. My friends have had to learn that when they receive a note from me, the messy handwriting does not mean I love them any less! Winning this stationary (love love love the Audrey!) would mean they’d have to know I love them just by receiving such a darling card…despite the messy message inside!

I write every day since I’m a student (handwriting notes is so much better than typing – especially when you take Latin and ancient Greek!) and obsessed with post-its. I usually have a cursive-y style for my upper case letters but otherwise try to make it nice and neat.

My fiance would love The Dictionary… I could surprise him or pick out some to use with my new name after the wedding. :)
