Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

My cursive handwriting has been described as the worst and the best anyone has seen. Being a lefty my handwriting is a bit different from everyone elses. If I take the time to write something nice, then I truly love my handwriting.

I try to write in cursive all of the time. Somtimes it deteriorates if I’m in a hurry like taking notes in a meeting.

    These are beautiful sets!

My handwriting’s pretty standard (print), but, as a teacher, I am proud of the fact that I’ve mastered writing in straight lines on the board. That has to count for something, right?

I have the weirdest mix of cursive and print, as well as a mix of upper case letters inside of words. It’s strange but its unique, or so i’m told!

My (casual) handwriting is a cursive/print hybrid. I am a bit of a handwriting/font/anything-printed enthusiast though, and I have very nice cursive penmanship when I apply it “formally”. I have been called upon to hand address many wedding invitations for friends and family.

PRESS ME! My handwriting is all over the place-literally! I always tend to write on a slant (I have heard this is a personality thing but I am not sure). I always print because my cursive is atrocious. I have had to practice a lot because I am in my first year of teaching and have to write legibly on the board!

I love anything hand written-I have a habit of writting in Architecture-all-caps because of school, but it does vary depending on my mood and what I’m writting.

Beautiful personalized note cards would definitely inspire me to write more handwritten notes. In today’s world of electronic communication, chat, e-mail and facebook to name a few, the hand written note is even more thoughtful.

My handwriting is tiny and meticulous – I always print and it’s often taken for a computer font. I love super-skinny Japanese pens. I’m known for being able to fit a whole letter’s worth of information onto a postcard. I would love to have the Signature stationary!

My handwriting is a mixture of (mostly) cursive and print. I have to really concentrate to keep it strictly one or the other. Occasionally, I will write in all caps, but that has more to do with spending some time as a design major.

I write in a combination of cursive and print, really. A lot of my letters, especially caps, are print but then the rest is kind of a combination of both. However, when I’m at work, I write in print because I’m a kindergarten teacher, which can be very difficult at times because I like to revert back to cursive.

I used to dot my i’s with hearts when I was in elementary school like Stacey from the Babysitters Club, but then everybody started copying me so I stopped. Then I did stars for awhile, but had to stop when I took spanish cause my teacher didn’t know if it was a dot on an i or something else!

You can tell what kind of day I’m having by my handwriting. If it’s nice and curly, it’s a sweet day. If it’s messy and hurriedly done, then it’s a hurried kind of day!

Oh my goodness, I need to win these! I just spent yesterday evening at Target fretting over cards to buy for handwritten notes I love to dash out to people when I’m thinking of them. And nothing was perfect – like these!

PRESS those cards right over here to ME! I LOVE stationary, cards, paper, etc and even make my own. I send handwritten notes for EVERYTHING! I used to be a teacher, so my printing is very neat and I usually write this way. Sometimes I do cursive, but it usually turns out looking to textbook perfect.

My writing style is usually cursive – it’s neatness depends on who is going to see it (just me = messy / others = neat).

I’m a lefty, so my handwriting is inherently bad, since years of Catholic school teachers just threw up their hands and figured I was a lost cause. Mostly, it’s a mish-mash of caps & lowercase, jumbled together in a sometimes print, sometimes cursive mess. Thank the lord for modern technology!
