Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Press me! I tend to do half & half… I connect the letters that seem to flow together and print the ones that aren’t easily connected. It’s usually legible. :)

These are so awesome, picking just one design would be hard (but do able!).

I have very nice handwriting– which is why I love stationary! I am always looking for excuses to send notes and thank yous by snail mail!

My handwriting is usually printed script, but changes some based on my mood and why I am writing. Oddly, journal entries are almost entirely in cursive.

How can I possibly choose just one? I think I’d have to have them surprise me with either The Signature, or The Nautical.
The Signature is just so classic, and I’m a sucker for that gorgeous green in the picture… however, we just moved 3 blocks from the beach, so The Nautical feels suddenly appropriate! We got married last year and I can honestly say that the part of the planning process I miss the most is ogling gorgeous paper goods!

My handwriting has changed throughout the years…I’ve done it all, neat and bubbly, cursive, all caps, you name it! I’ve also always loved making bubble letters (filled in with polka dots or stripse)for special personalized cards whether it be for a special birthday or holiday. Currently my handwriting is a mix of cursive and normal print…and I love using these 3 little periods…

As a student I’ve discovered exactly when I use “print” and “cursive.” Print is used when I understand everything AND have time to neatly write it down. Cursive is used when I can barely follow my professor and am trying to write as fast as possible. I’ve learned that when reading my notes, if it is written in cursive chances are I need to go back and study those parts a little extra.

    Great give-away!

PRESS ME! I usually write in cursive. When I try to print it works for a sentence or two and then I find I default to cursive unintentionally. I do know that my handwriting looks best with a med ball point pen and looks the worst with the roller ball pens, like the uniball. Isn’t that funny that its a specific kind? Do you guys have favorite writing implements?
