Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

My handwriting is more cursive than print these days. Growing up I was constantly changing it because I got bored easily. Now I’m too busy (and/or lazy) to think about it that much!

I write with a specific black, fine tip pen, usually with very neat print. I love writing letters and thank you notes. There is something about getting mail that isn’t a bill. :)

I like to mix it up and use cursive and print in the same words. But, it’s not really cursive and it’s not really print… I just let the letters flow together, taking my pen off paper as little as possible. Let’s just call it a “Lazy” writing style.

I write in cursive 90% of the time (notes, letters, lists, etc), but if I’m writing in my Franklin Covey planner it’s ALWAYS in all caps printed. Something about having everything uniform in my planner (including the fact that I only write in it with one particular style of pen) makes me feel organized.

I love writing letters to friends and family and always try to do this over sending emails, which seem so impersonal sometimes!

My handwriting is “school teacher print.” It bugs my husband to no end because even my signature (in cursive) looks like print. He is always teasing me that if our kids ever need to get anything signed from school that they’ll just copy my signature.

My handwriting is a part of my signature style as writing notes was my favorite way to encourage and support friends through college and life since. It is a hybrid of curves that some might call cursive but is distinctive enough that one knows they are getting a note from me before they open the envelope. That said, note cards are some of my favorite things in the world – especially letterpress!!

I always hate hate HATED writing cursive growing up. Funny thing is, I hate signing my name even MORE in cursive now that I need to make an upper case G as a part of my married name. So having some pre-printed pretty looking stationary would rock my socks off so that I can send them out and pretend that I’m a lot fancier then I am (I’m usually writing in regular old lower case)

Awesome giveaway! So beautiful. I have a cursive, print sort of mash-up going on, which is half the time not readable. It depends how fast I’m trying to write. I’m more of a typer. It almost feels weird to grab a pencil and paper and actually have to write something down. Thank goodness I can type fast!

I’ve been keyboarding for so many years that I have almost forgotten how to hand-write. It’s a mostly unreadable mix of print and cursive that looks like a drunk beetle with dirty feet wandered across the page, with lots of abbreviations that I am sure will make sense later, but they never do.
