Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

PRESS ME* My writing style is all over the place. From very neat to some-what cartoon (i.e. ren & stimpy style) to unrecognizable when signing my name at the end of a wal-mart transaction. Sometimes if I’m writing a thank you note I doodle…drawing spirals and pasileys where ever I can.

My writing writing always starts out cursive and then if I hit a “b” or “d” which takes too much time for my brain to figure out in cursive and the rest of the word is anyone’s guess.

    Thanks for the give-a-way

I love the art of the handwritten ANYTHING these days! I usually write in cursive if I’m sending a note to someone, but in meetings, I find myself taking notes in regular ole print. I do notice that my writing style changes with my mood. (anyone else?)

    FANTASTIC giveaway!

I’m one of those people who goes between print and cursive. I love handwritten notes, so even when my writing looks a little funky from all of the mix match, I still think it’s 100% better than shooting someone an email.

My handwriting has always been dreadful – I got a D in 1st grade, the only non A I ever got until I went to college. However, my son is in 3rd grade this year and I decided to learn to cursive write right along side the rest of the 3rd graders. I am doing so well. :-) I actually have pretty handwriting now. I have been writing letters to my mom and she is so excited to actually be able to read them.

Having been raised by a hybrid Martha-Stewart-meets-Miss-Manners-and-has-a-lovechild-with-Betty-Crocker, I was always taught to hand write thank you notes. These gorge note cards would be perfect for the task!

I’d say I have pretty average handwriting. It is legible, although I think it sometimes borders on looking too “young”… ie it looks a little like a middle schooler at times. :)

I NEVER write in cursive anymore, in fact, I’m getting married in a few weeks and I’ve had to actually practice writing my new last name (yeah, I know, so 2nd grade right?!) so it doesn’t look completely different from my first name when I write it! I’m still working on it… but it is definitely improving.

These new cards would be PERFECT for me to have once my name is official! Oh yeah, and I love letterpress. I wanted it for the wedding, but alas, it was TOO expensive!

I work hard on my handwriting – I constantly try to perfect it. I write very vertical, all in print, if i don’t like how I wrote it i will re-write in an instant. I have always been fanatical about my handwriting, I re-write notes from class or work meetings, I learn by writing too so it helps to write and re-write. You could definitely call me anal retentive about writing……I wonder if there is a Handwriters Anonymous?

But I do love to send hand-written notes. Go figure.
