Fab Freebie: Pressed And Ready

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Since we know you guys love personalized stationery as much as we do (and we always like to support other husband and wife teams), we’re psyched to bring you this week’s giveaway from Wild Ink Press. This duo – plus their 2 year old son/sidekick- churns out beautiful letterpress stationery by hand (and foot). And they print all of their stuff on 100% recycled paper or cotton and reuse everything from scraps to clean-up rags, always keeping their process as eco-friendly as possible. But of course, it’s their stunning designs that are the real stars of their process.

And this week, TWO of you are going to win a custom set of letterpress stationery (up to a $150 value each!). Here are the five designs our winners will have the pleasure of choosing from, either for themselves (or maybe even as a Valentine’s Day gift?). First we have The Signature, which puts your name in a silver metallic script with a custom icon to add some whimsy. And you can pick from green, pink, khaki or gray envelopes to match. Man, I wish my signature came out this fancy looking every time I sign on the dotted line.

WildInk Signature

The Dictionary is a classic design with dark brown or black ink on ivory paper. And speaking of the ivories, the khaki envelope comes lined with vintage sheet music or an actual dictionary page (smoking jacket and pipe not included).

WildInk Dictionary

The Bandana Paisley is kinda dusty old west meets colorful sophistication. Pick from a magenta, turquoise, purple or red paisley to coordinate with a gray, khaki or purple envelope. A far cry from the days of the Pony Express.

WildInk Bandana

The Nautical had us at “ahoy.” It comes on beachy pale blue paper with a ship ghosted in the background and a handsome navy envelope.

WildInk Nautical

The Audrey is a combo of a sophisticated dotted pinstripe and your name printed in a playful circus font. The orange or magenta color options for both the type and envelope finish off the big top design.

WildInk Pinstripe

Have you already picked out the one you love? Well here’s how you can vie for your chance to win (bonus: stay tuned for a discount on Thursday- everyone sort of wins in the end):

  • PRIZE: A 30-piece set of custom letterpress stationery from Wild Ink Press (selected from the five designs shown here).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “PRESS ME” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about your writing style. Do you write exclusively in cursive? Do you rock all caps all of the time? Do you dot your I’s with something special? Is your penmanship virtually unreadable? Or do you just avoid hand-writing at all costs?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 3rd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Two
  • PRIZE SHIPS: You name it. They’ll ship it anywhere!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I write half cursive/half print. I recently found out my parents had my handwriting analyzed when I was in second grade…and they decided to never ever tell me the results. My Mom still wouldn’t give them to me. Weirdos.

Ooh, the Dictionary makes my little heart go pitter patter! I usually write in print when I am taking notes, writing grocery lists, etc, but when I am feeling antsy (usually in a class where I am bored) I like to write to-do lists in cursive.

I love writing by hand, everything from letters to lists. My handwriting is a unique combo of cursive and print, but my “R’s” are always capitalized. I don’t know why but that’s the way it has evolved.

Press me! I’m trying to get back to handwritten letters since I love getting new stationery and it’s always fun to get a handwritten letter in the mail. I would love to have a really creative and fancy writing style but the most I can say about my current writing style is that it’s (usually) neat and readable.

Since I left elementary school and was no longer forced to write in cursive, my handwriting has been a blend of print and cursive. Some of my letters connect, others don’t, and it doesn’t always look exactly the same. My handwriting is very legible, but not super pretty. Alas, what I wouldn’t give for GREAT handwriting. I wonder if I could train myself with enough practice…

I have a very unique writing style. I am a lefty and only print with my left hand, however I can write in “textbook handwriting class cursive” style with my right hand. This is because I went to a strick private school where cursive was only taught using your right hand (think swatted with a ruler for using your left). I have been told I have beautiful printing and I attribute that to 30+ years of time to perfect it since I never learned cursive using my southpaw!

My writing all depends on who I am writing to! I moved last year to Oklahoma from Michigan, so when I write letter to my family and friends back home, I tend to doodle on the sides, highlight, underline and make some words POP! Bit if I am writing a note a work, I try and write very neat and “sophisticated”… which doesn’t always work. My cursive still looks like I am in 3rd grade and therefore avoided at all costs.

I write in a mixture of print and almost-cursive. My elementary school tested out learning “italics” rather than cursive, so I never even learned how to sign my signature properly. It’s never a pretty signature, unfortunately.
