***This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

And the lucky random pet parent who’s about to get a cheery pet portrait is… Kirstin (who’s excited to get a portrait of Lola, her “adorable Boston Terrier/English Bulldog mix”). Congrats Kirstin AND Lola! UPDATE: Kirstin sent us a photo of Lola. Isn’t she a heartbreaker?

I think I would choose my husband’s heart dog – a beagle named Sophie. She is super well-behaved, smart, sweet and quiet. All that makes her really easy to love and she has single handedly (pawedly?) changed many people’s opinions of beagles.

paint my pet!! i have a 5 year old beagle named Finnegan. He is a seriously beautiful rescue dog. People stop me on the street to compliment him. Finn is a daily stop for the neighborhood kids and is so friendly to everyone. He is far from perfect, he ruins pillows, sofas and blankets on an almost monthly pillows and likes to eat paper…..but i love him anyways. Who rescued who!

I would paint my loving maltipoo Latte painted. He just came into our lives as a 4 year old rescued pup, and would love for him to have a place of pride in our home. He has a bit of separation anxiety however, and his favourite thing to do is guard the bathroom door to prevent us from getting ready in the morning. It’s a good thing he is only 17 pounds!

I would get a painting of my black cat Loki. He has the most beautiful big bright green/yellow eyes. He is like a dog – playing fetch, always going in the backyard with us to roll in the dirt and chase bugs and at the end of the day, Loki is our snuggly bug always curling up with us in bed. Loki is our best little friend!

PAINT MY PET! Chloe is a husky/shar-pei mix we rescued about four years ago. She is fiercely indepedent and has “trained” my husband and I quite efficiently since joining our household – when she stands by the door, she knows one of us will get up and let her out. When she stands by her treats, she knows one of us will give her one. When she scratches the door from the outside, she knows one of us will let her in. All in all, I am shocked at how well she lets us know what she wants. She is quite the non-verbal communicator.

I have two dogs and it would be pretty hard to pick just one painted. If I picked Kingsley, it would be because he’s a sweet loveable pit bull with a great personality. He’s sweet, and kind of prissy for a boy pit bull, and has this attitude towards the world that says ‘love me, I’ll love you… by continually licking your face at 6 am.’

If I picked Beau, my 7 year old lab mix, it would be because he’s a doll with these great ears. One stands up, one lays flat. He is the sweetest dog I’ve ever had.

I would get my boyfriend’s puppy, Pascal painted. What makes him unique is that he likes to pretend he’s fearless and tough by chasing around my dog (who is 5 times his weight and about ten times his height) but whenever he gets a shot at the vet’s, he cries and yelps for 24 hours. It’s simultaneously hilarious and adorable how wimpy he is. :)

PAINT MY PET!! It would be hard to choose just one to have painted! I have two cats and a dog, all resucues. But since we alerady have a nice photo of our dog (taken for the local newspaper!!) we would probably go with the cats. They are brothers and even at age 6 they are full of energy. We hear them racing around upstairs playing with each other only to find them later passed out on the bed together.

PAINT MY PET!!!!! I would like my beautiful girl Lacey (or Laceybear as she is sometimes known) to be painted!! She is a wonderful little dog and came to me by complete accident!! She was 1 of the litter of puppies my mom had (haha that sounds so wrong) and I watched the whole litter be given away to loving homes. Turns out, one of those homes couldn’t keep her so my mom called me one day and asked “do you want a puppy?” to which I said “yes!” and then she replied “ok, how about today??”.

She is the bestest friend a girl could ask for and painting her would be the coolest thing!!!!

    PAINT MY PET!

Four years ago this week (!) we adopted our Redbone Coonhound, Katie, from a family with a daughter with allergies. The best thing about her is the relationship she has with my oldest son (who is 7, the same age as Katie), they’re BFF. She sleeps on his bed while he’s at school and they snuggle together on the sofa while watching movies. She’s a big dog and as much as I’d prefer her to stay OFF my furniture, I can’t resist letting them have that special time. She’s FAB with kids of all ages. Love that girl! :)

I’d want to get all our furry kiddos painted. Our girls, Indiana and Rosie, are fun, crazy puppies who love to eat… everything. No couch, cat, or mattress is immune to their own special brand of love.
