Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

Happy (belated) Valentine’s Day…we celebrated with a heart-shaped pizza and a beer after work today. Oh and we skyped with the grandparents so the kids could feel the love from across the country. Those are some cute designs.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

My sweetie took me to The Melting Pot for Valentine’s Day the night before as he was going to be gone on the actual day. It is one of my fav restaurants.

I would actually love to have this giveaway as I love Lisa Leonard’s jewelry and really want to give something special to a dear friend for her birthday. She just lost one of her children to a sudden illness.

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

I celebrated with my fiance and we went to dinner at a tiny local Italian place. It wasn’t packed and we had been there before, but I wanted to try something new…chicken alla diavola. Well, since I took Spanish in High School, I really had no idea what this dish meant. But, I decided to try it anyway. I am not a fan of spicy foods and when this dish arrived, it looked like a chicken breast smothered in buffalo hot wing sauce…with a side of spaghetti and marinara sauce. After the first bite, I knew I was in for a spicy evening! On the way back from the restaurant, I googled the meaning of chicken alla diavola, and not surprisingly, it means DEVIL’S STYLE CHICKEN!!!! Luckily, my fiance likes spicy food and we shared our dishes (he got a safe alfredo). :)

I actually got a one of these necklaces for Christmas from my brother and SIL. It has the names of my three fur kids on it. It was the most meaningful gift I got for Christmas (probably ever) and I wear it every day.

Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s been our tradition to make gourmet pizzas together for V-day and even though all the proper ingredients were bought this year and we had our plan all ready, we somehow ended up celebrating with a box a chocolates and gin and tonics while our toddler took his nap. It was great, nonetheless!

    Happy Valentines day- belated :-)

We spent the night having homemade tomato soup. Hubbies gift to me, re-arranging the new furniture I bought to try to meet my vision… so sweet. Tomato soup because when we were dating 3000 miles away I sent him a V-day gift basket with the recipe and ingredients to make it himself. Love Valentines day, but don’t do the Hallmark thing.
