Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

My husband gave me a single rose and we went out to dinner and left the kids with our nanny. It was a sweet night.

    “Happy Valentines Day!”

I decided for Valentines to focus on my daughter of course, but also my girlfriends. I sent all the special ladies in my life letting them know how much they mean to me. I think Valentines Day is a day for all the people we love in our lives. And lets face it, the ladies in my life are always thoughtful to me. So I thought I would share the love.

Happy Valentine’s Day! We spent our first Valentine’s night as a married couple getting our taxes done. Our tax guy auto-schedules, so that’s the date we drew. Not to worry though becuase our tax man is actually quite fun and we found out we’re getting money back that we weren’t expecting, so it ended up being a joyous, if not romantic, night. Oh, plus we grabbed some killer Mexican food on the way home and watched the bachelor :)

Happy Valentine’s Day!! I spent my Valentine’s Day with my dog Bella. I treated her to a fun play date at her doggy daycare and then gave her a handmade raised feeder/table to bring up her meal to the right height for her size. She was completely wore out from all the playing, that she fell asleep on the couch while I watched a movie by myself. I know – a totally eventful Valentine’s Day!

I spent yesterday making cookies and watching movies with my sick son. Made baked potato soup for dinner for my husband and other son, jello for the sick one. We were all together yesterday, and that is what counts most!

A Happy Valentines Day it is 365 days a year with my love of 23 years. I don’t need a special day to know that he loves me, cause he shows me daily how much I mean to him. By the way he takes my hand when we are walking out from a night of basketball at the local High School, and when he moves the car out so that I don’t have to step in the snow. He is a wonderful friend who I love for many more tomorrows. I’m a lucky girl.

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! I work with senior adults at my church so I spent it at a valentines banquet we put together for them. We heard from Compassion International on how to sponsor kids in need (a thing totally focused on LOVE). Oh, and then my sweet boyfriend surprised me with some flowers, wine and chocolate covered strawberries.

got a heart the kid made in her toddler’s class and two roses from husband (who were at work till late)
Wasn’t really that big for V-day, but did make some rum balls arranged in heart shape for hubby. He did fill his quota for many many Valentines years back with a painstakingly found goose softie that says “I love you”. He’s such a dear….
