Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!!!

My husband and I didn’t have anything special planned for valentine day this year, but since i happened to come home early from work, i got the time and finally set the dining table with some flowers and candles, and cooked special dinner. Then my husband came home with tiramisu cake, and we had a nice dinner (and dessert) at home :) Priceless.

Happy Valentine’s day! We celebrate with our 4 kids-our dinner is red, pink and/or heart shaped-it will be spagetti, heart shaped garlic bread, red pepper strips, strawberries and a heart shaped cake. We give each other handmade valentines and each state reasons why we love each other. Typically we play board games afterwards.

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

I don’t celebrate it, but that doesn’t mean I want it to be crappy! My husband and I spent the evening with friends. Nice and relaxing.

Instead of Valentine’s Day, we made up our own holiday for the anniversary of our engagement. It’s actually a significant date to our relationship, and the flowers and chocolates aren’t marked up like they are on Valentine’s Day!

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!!!
Ok, so I’m a day late, but it’s the thought that counts. I celebrated my day with my fiance, Tom. Ok actually we celebrated a day early on Sunday since I was working last night. We stuck with the “don’t spend money because we’re saving for our wedding” routine. I gave him a Hallmark book filled with “why I love you” answers, and I got a beautiful bouqet of roses that is proudly sitting in a vase on the kitchen counter.

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

My hubby and I don’t really make a big deal about Valentine’s Day, but we always use it as a great excuse to do something fun and inexpensive together. Last night was spent cooking dinner together and going through cards of random questions – it was fun seeing how the other would answer even after being together 3 years!

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

My boyfriend and I haven’t done much for Valentine’s Day the past couple of years, but at the last minute, I decided to make shortbread cookies in the shape of “I <3 U." I whipped them up in the hour before he got home, and when he arrived he presented me with a bag of shortbread cookies from Panera. Apparently, we're on the same wavelength :)
