Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

    “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!”
I spent the evening with my nephew and two sons. My nephew ships out to Army basic training on 2/15, so my boys and I whisked him out of his hotel room and took him to a movie. It was one thing he really wanted to do on his last night of freedom for awhile. :)

    HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!

February ended up being a tight month for us, so we watched Watson on Jeopardy (’cause I’m a nerd like that) while we ate dinner and then watched a movie. We postponed fancy Valentine’s stuff for a later date (thanks to a Groupon deal at a B&B).

I spent the evening in my pjs, watching old episodes of Monk, grading student work and sipping champagne. I’m a singleton so no fancy to-do. Still enjoyed the evening and love this designer!

My husband and I celebrated by having a nice dinner at home and relaxing on the couch. I was hoping he would finally feel the baby move (due in June), but no such luck… Soon hopefully!

Happy Valentine’s Day! With my wonderful boyfriend, eating his tilapia on rice, broccoli salad, and chipotle pepper sweet potatoes (highly recommended). American Pickers, maybe The Bachelor (although I won’t openly admit that), and reminiscing about fun moments in our relationship.

HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY! (A belated one still counts!) I’m actually sick right now, so my boyfriend brought the fancy dinner out into our home by stopping by the grocery store and picking up the ingredients for a lobster dinner with a prosciutto and pear green salad and fresh bread. It ended up being the best Valentine’s dinner we’ve ever eaten and we got to spend more time alone together because of it.

Last night I made my little family (well, young at least!) steaks and mashed potatoes and asparagus (which, no, my children didn’t actually care for, but they all gave it a try). We finished up with ice cream sundaes for dessert! It was a fun night together as a family. :)
