Fab Freebie: Oooh, Shiny!

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Thanks to V-Day, we’re straying from our usual home improvement & decor related prizes in favor of some customized and sentimental jewelry from Lisa Leonard Designs. Lisa brings a certain DIY spirit to her necklaces, bracelets, earrings, and other body bling – hand cutting, polishing, and assembling each piece carefully for that “made with love” feeling. She actually helped us celebrate V-day last year by giving away $100 gift cards to two winners – and this year she’s raising the stakes and giving away THREE benjamins worth of her meaningful designs to three random lucky winners. Happy Valentine’s Day indeed.

Lisa Leonard Giveaway

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards any purchase at Lisa Leonard Designs.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us how (and with whom) you’re celebrating today. Something romantic with your true love? A quiet evening in with a good book and some hot cocoa? A romantic night with your kitty or pooch? Feel free to comment with “Crappy Valentine’s Day!” and tell us why this holiday just ain’t your cup of tea if that’s the case.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, February 16th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: Three
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the world!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winners will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Random.org has selected three people to dish out some bling to and they are… Megan (whose husband made her pizza for V-Day), Tera (who was spending the evening at a concert with her husband) and Kyle (who was doing dinner with her husband… after doing some laundry first). Congrats ladies!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just like rewarding our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Lisa Leonard Designs.

Happy Valentine’s Day!…well, yesterday. This year my one and only are saving up for a house (yay!) so we just played it pretty low-key. Exchanged some simple gifts and just spent time with each other. We are both pretty busy so that quality time can be few and far between. Spent the day together, running errands, heading to the market and finished with a homemade dinner and glass of beer. Great day! :)

Well, we were planning on doing at home surf n turf, however my husband is sick and was pretty sure he wouldn’t be able to fully enjoy the awesome meal. Oh well – I did get a very sweet card and took lots of pics of our daughter in her ‘my first valentine’s day’ outfit – too cute!

    Happy Valentines Day!

So this year my honey and I had plans to dress cute, and go to sushi for valentines day. Normally we stay in to avoid the crowds! Well that is not quite what happened. We bought a car and some stuff needed to be fixed before we could make the 600 mile trip home with it, and needless to say didn’t get fixed in time to get us home before valentines day. So we spent the day on the road. Which was great, we ate valentine candy and sand an joked. So sushi ended up becoming a road trip instead. Happy V day Everyone

    P.S. We are celebrating today!

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!! Or as my Mom and I always say, “HAPPY VALENHEARTS DAY!!” :) I spent my Valentine’s evening with my fiance and our lab pup Tucker. It was our last Valentine’s together before we get married, so it was special in that way. But other than that, we’re not big Valentine’s people. We figure we should act that way towards each other any given day, but we really hate the crowds so we opted for ordering pizza, eating my almost-sister-in-law’s cupcakes, and watching The Bachelor. A nice relaxing evening!!

I actually worked 2 jobs yesterday and my boyfriend felt badly…so he had fowers and wine and chocolate on the breakfast table, sent me flowers at the school where I work and then flowers to the restaurant where I waitress a couple nights a week. So I felt special, even though I had been feeling bummed about working. He’s awesome.

Happy Valentine’s Day! We celebrated with our 4 kids on Sunday and Monday. Sunday we had pink pancakes and our annual Valentine’s Day scavenger hunt. Monday, we decorated the dining room and had a nice dinner, and played games. And, speaking of “love”….I love lisa leaonard designs. My hubby gave me one of her necklaces with the names of all four kids engraved on it, when #4 was born!

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

I’m a first grade teacher, so Valentine’s Day is a big deal around here! I got two dozen roses, a teddy bear, several boxes of chocolates, a heart coffee mug, rose petal soaps, and even a little figurine of a baby in a bathing suit! I told my husband not to get me anything, since I knew I would be inundated with gifts from my students, so I was very surprised to come home to a clean house, a salmon dinner, and a potted orchid plant! It was a great day! :)
