We’ve always loved snagging cheap finds for our house at both stores – like the nailhead trimmed ottoman in our bedroom (from T.J. Maxx) and just about every pillow in our den (from Marshalls).

Maxx me! I’m hoping for the Domino: The Book of Decorating and maybe an IKEA giftcard. I’m having fun figuring out what handmade items to make with my kids to give to their cousins and Aunt and Uncle. I’m thinking about making glitter stars for the tree or something along those *simple* lines. :)My 7 year old son is also really into origami so I’m going to have him teach me to make some cranes to give away for Christmas decorations.

My husband and I are trying to make a goal this year of using his Xmas bonus to get the kids a few things (nothing crazy), fund our family Xmas Eve dinner, and use the rest to pay off a couple of bills. We may have a big change coming our way though as my stepdaughter may be coming to live with us permanently, so we may need to save that money for a lawyer to work out a new custody deal to make everything kosher. That of course will be the best Xmas present ever for my husband. Of course I would love gift cards to TJ Maxx, Homegoods, Marshalls, etc. I may just treat myself to a few bargain things for Xmas. All I usually want anyway now is stuff for our house. :P

I’m so excited to give my Mom a photobook of our trip to Ireland this past summer…was on a total whim! My sister had booked off work for a trip with friends down south but they backed out so we were all just looking online and found an amazing deal for Ireland, booked it and flew out the next day.
