We’ve always loved snagging cheap finds for our house at both stores – like the nailhead trimmed ottoman in our bedroom (from T.J. Maxx) and just about every pillow in our den (from Marshalls).

This year my husband and I skipped gifts for each other and instead bought a new TV for the family room in a Black Friday deal. That’s exciting for everyone! The gift I’m most excited to give is a little Discovery play tent/tube that we got for our 19-month-old daughter. She’s been trying to make a fort out of our coffee table lately, so I think she’ll be thrilled to have a little play tent of her own.

What’s on the top of my list? That’s a hard question. I suppose it’s a tie between a new lens for my Nikon D5000 (a 35mm lens) and a two-page-a-day planner for next year when I am graduating college, getting married, getting a full time job, and starting grad school. It sounds dorky, but I really want that planner – and I will definitely have the need for it!
