We’ve always loved snagging cheap finds for our house at both stores – like the nailhead trimmed ottoman in our bedroom (from T.J. Maxx) and just about every pillow in our den (from Marshalls).

We live across the country from Family, so my gift this year is that pricey holiday plane ticket. But I’m most looking forward to giving my mom some sandals I picked up for her in Hawaii. I gave her a pair two years ago and they are completely thrashed. I love giving something practical that I know she’ll use.

I despise cleaning our hardwoods and we just adopted to adult golden retrievers, so they need cleaning a lot more often than before! Don’t you hate it when you need something, but don’t want to spend the money on it? This is me with my throw pillows. I put them in the wash and now they are lumpy as lumpy gets. You can’t even lay on them comfortably. I want to buy myself some couch pillows. Just for me! :)
