Fab Freebie: Matchmaker, Matchmaker

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Our winner, thanks to the willy nilly matchmaking skills of random.org, is… Sharon (who’s hoping to be matched up with a piece of art to finish off a master bedroom renovation). Congrats!

Art.com is full of affordable stuff to help solve Naked Wall Syndrome (like these horse prints that we recently purchased) so we’re psyched that they’re giving away an $250 gift card to one of you lucky folks this week. They’ve launched a new tool called Match My Image that promises to come in handy next time you’re hunting for the perfect piece. You just upload an image – maybe of a fabric that you’re trying to coordinate or a photo that you’re using as inspiration – and it spits out a slew of art in that color scheme/vein that’s available for purchase. Here’s what we happened upon when we uploaded a couple of personal pictures (a photo of the river here in Richmond and a painting that Clara recently whipped up). Fun, right?

ArtDotComGiveaway

  • PRIZE: A $250 gift card to Art.com
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “MATCH ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us if you’ve ever tried playing matchmaker? Or has someone else tried to match you up? How did it all work out? Was it amazing? Or should you (or your would-be matchmaker) stick to their day job?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 13th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Art.com.

    MATCH ME! :)
A friend played matchmaker to get me and a mutual friend together…who I ended up marrying two years later! :)

I’ve never played match maker or was never set up. I tend to steer clear of the drama that comes with matchmaking.

I am always trying to match people up and it drives my husband crazy! I was successful at matching my best friend to my hubby’s best friend, and they are still together today, which is 3 years later!

Match me! My grandmother tried multiple times to play matchmaker with me, oh so and so has a son, that went to Harvard (or some Ivy League school) and work some job (that is supposed to sound exciting/exclusive). WHILE I HAD A BOYFRIEND. Years later my grandmother has grown to love my man! Just took a little while, but she finally stopped offering me email addresses, phone numbers, etc of random men :)

I am totally a matchmaker at heart! I am always thinking about who would be good together or trying to think of the perfect someone for a friend. But we matchmakers have to be careful to not make our single friends feel like they SHOULD be in a relationship in order to have a fulfilling life:) so many times I hold my tongue and just try to set them up through circumstances, with out actually saying so, ha!

And please do better than the last time I was set up – a baseball game is no place to try a blind date between two shy people. Don’t think he could’ve left any faster. And I swear, I couldn’t walk on the bleachers because flip-flop season had just started up again, not because of the 2 beers!

I kind of played matchmaker. I wanted my sister to sign up for online dating since she has no places to meet anyone, so I did her profile one day for her without her knowing… and now she’s getting married to a guy she started dating from the profile I did that matched her with him :)
