Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

    I’M FRESH! I usually beat the heat by drinking some limeade. I do like lemonade, but I just can’t get enough of limeade.

    I’m fresh! I’m all about cold showers. There is nothing as fantastic as getting all super hot and then jumping in a freezing cold shower especially when you live without A/C.

    I’M FRESH! I make my own citrus-scented spritzer using vodka and essential oils, and believe it or not I keep it in the freezer. Refreshing!

    …& my favorite heat-beater is a spearmint snowball (you know, fluffy fine shaved ice drenched with sticky sweet flavor). It’s a lean-mean-turn your teeth green- cool down machine!

    We hit the country club pool almost every day in the summer! Also, drink lots of ice water with lemon. The little bit of zest keeps things super fresh!

    here in texas, if you are outside in the summer, you need to be submerged in water to survive. any local swimming hole will do.

    I’M FRESH! So far our summer weather has been foggy and forceful in prompting a sweatshirt for the day. It just started warming up this week which calls for a cool glass of water or homemade lemonade. Yum yum!

    I’m fresh! We just got married and went on our honeymoon in Hawaii!! While soaking in the beautiful scenery we drank some afternoon mai tais to cool off :)

    I’M FRESH!

    This summer I’m all about thin white button-downs for work (so cool! so timeless! so endlessly variable!) And sherbet or sorbet from my favorite local icecream shop, in tangy tropical flavors like blood orange or lychee. They also have an avocado icecream that’s supposed to be incredible, but I haven’t managed to catch that one yet.

    Oh, and speaking of World Market and blood orange, I love their blood orange Italian soda!

    I’m fresh! And once in awhile I drink a home made margarita with hand squeezed lime juice to freshen up and cool down!

    I’m fresh! Usually, I sit still and relax on the couch with the AC on 80 and the ceiling fan on. A little water or lemonade and I’m cool!

    I’m Fresh! I love a tall glass of sweet tea and sitting on my balcony. Living in Colorado the weather is perfect in the early evening to just sit and relax!
