Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

Fresh Home Mag 1

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

Fresh Home World Market

So here’s the full monty on how you can enter this week:

  • PRIZE: $100 gift card to Cost Plus World Market courtesy of CPWM and Fresh Home Magazine.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M FRESH” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since the summer heat means feeling fresh is a rarity these days, why not tell us what you do to freshen up. A nice cool shower to start your day? A tall glass of lemonade when you come in from the heat? Or maybe a quick deodorant swipe or some mouthwash between meetings?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, August 18th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck…

See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Cost Plus World Market and Fresh Home Magazine.

    IM FRESH!

I love to make fresh lemonade and the zesty lemon chilled pie. The pie is awsome and feature in August’s Southern Living!

What an amazing giveaway!! In order to freshen up a little in the heat I like to lay down on my bed under the ceiling fan with it on high- helps me relax and cool down at the same time!

Colorado heat, as they say, is dry. But hot is hot (and I am originally a Jersey girl, so I know humid). Best heat beater that I learned from long hikes in the Rocky Mountains is a wet bandanna (handkerchief, rag, whatever is at hand) on the back of the neck. One of my absolute favorites is sitting under a ceiling fan, preferably with eyes closed. If it was up to me, I’d have a ceiling fan in every room!

    “I’m Fresh”

I waitress outside in the heat and one thing that makes me cool (and is also a little decadent since it reminds me of a spa) is ice cold water with cucumber slices in it! I feel like I am whisked away from the heat and customers – and then I open my eyes!

I usually cool off with a nice cool Arnold Palmer (half iced tea, half lemonade). It’s just the right amount of sweet to be refreshing and thirst-quenching on a hot summer day!!

What a fab giveaway! I *adore* home decor magazines, was so so sad when Domino went away. I’d love to check out Fresh Home. :D

And to beat the heat, which we’ve had for a few days here in Seattle this summer, we head to the beach as much as possible. And then when we get home, the kids and I run a few inches of cold water into the bath tub and eat popsicles with our feet in the water. We also soak bandanas in cold water and wrap them around our necks. We look ever so wild west. :D

    ‘I’m Fresh’
During the hot summer days of Vegas, I like to freshen up with a dip in the pool. I was conflicted when discovering our son would be born in June. Excited I didn’t have to go through the hot summer months enormous but saddened by the fact that I would not be able to swim again until August. It’s hot in July and most everyone under 70 swims daily here. But alas, he arrived safely and we love having him. My pool restriction was well spent holding him. Now I’m swimming again and we are both having fun in the water.
