Fab Freebie: Market Fresh

This week’s giveaway comes to from two awesome sources of inspiration who are dishing out quite a worldly and wonderful prize for one lucky reader. First up is Fresh Home, one of the few magazines to buck the vanishing shelter pub trend and actually make its debut last year (you may have noticed them in our monthly sponsor shout out last week). This fresh quarterly mag focuses on home improvement and decor ideas for anyone with a finite budget who still wants to make their home beautiful. We can definitely relate. And in a genius turn of events, Fresh Home has teamed up with one of their (and our) favorite sources, Cost Plus World Market, to score an $100 gift card for one lucky YHL reader!

The great thing about Cost Plus World Market is that they’ve got such a wide range of offerings that you could practically do a whole room from there without it looking matchy-matchy in the least. They have everything from couches, coffee tables, and rugs to pillows, lighting, and accessories. Heck, we even purchased the seat cushions for our new office makeover and the rug in our master bedroom there.

    I’M FRESH!

    Living in Phoenix, it’s HOT during the summer. To me, there’s nothing like a refreshing shower at the end of the day before you crawl into bed.

    I AM FRESH…..I work evenings at a hospital so between the heat during the day and then working with sick paitents I LOVE coming home to take a nice cool shower and jumping into freashly laundered sheets!!!

    I’m Fresh!!

    My fave this summer is to stir up some lemonade with a few frozen berries. I like my lemonade more sweet than tart, and strawberries or raspberries do just the trick!

    I’m Fresh!

    I’m a Florida girl and when the humidity is at it’s worst.. I like to keep my fruit in the fridge.. a bite cool crisp fruit is fresh and refreshing! :)

    I’M FRESH!!! I definitely take nice cool showers after a hot day outside (and in the morning!) Really though, the best way for me to beat the heat in general is to carrying around a nice cold bottle of water (Klean Kanteen of course!).

    I’M FRESH!! After a workout or walk in the heat I go sprawl out on the floor in the basement where it’s always cool.

    I like to take a cool shower before bed, then dust on some of Lush’s Silky Underwear body powder and slip into clean cotton sheets! Ahhh

    I play in the automatic sprinklers with my kids! I
    It cools us off and its a good way to celebrate our huge, muddy, dusty, year-long project of DIYing our own sprinkler system!

    When the heat gets to be too much, I like to sit outside with a popsicle or cold melon straight out of the fridge and wait for a cherished summer breeze.

    I’M FRESH!
    I discovered the best little secret at the perfume counter. They use refillable mini spray bottles for samples now and I took several. One for water to spritz my face (no need to worry about messing up makeup) and one for perfume and they fit so nicely in any size purse.

    I’m Fresh!
    North Carolina heat and humidity makes you stay in and paint rooms, clean each room and wait until the heat subsides so you can go out and catch lightn’n bugs or as I say “Glitter Bugs” Make sure you have that old Mayonaise jar ready with the holes popped in the lid.

    When spraying the boys with the hose in the backyard to beat the heat, I’ll stop and spray just my feet. Cools me off instantly.

    I’m fresh!
    With a nice cold drink in the late afternoon… we’ve been drinking a lot of Manhattans this summer with our home-canned brandied cherries. Delicious! Stir (don’t shake!) gently with lots of ice before straining into chilled glasses.

    I’M FRESH and while I play fetch with my dogs I fill up their plastic swimming pool and stand in it for awhile sipping my ice tea with mint from the garden! {very classy, hahah}
