BLIND ME! We have a beautiful view out the large picture window in our living room…unfortunately it gives our two dogs the perfect place to watch for squirrels-which often results in torn couch cushions.

Our next-door neighbor, before we moved in built a large blue warehouse on his property without permits…and the previous owners were quite lazy with the statue of limitations.

We’ve always been city folks, but starting July 1, we need to move to suburban sprawl for my husband’s job. We initially weren’t excited, but we finally brainstormed some things that may be nice about suburban life – decorating a yard for Halloween, actually having trick-or-treaters, storage. That’s as far as we’ve gotten :) I KNOW that there will be some windows that will need covering and suburban vistas that I won’t want to see, so the blinds will be fabulous until we move back to a city :)

We have vertical blinds in the dining area of our kitchen, and even though they’re fabric-covered, and even though my Mom and her sisters (those who helped my grandparents, the former dwellers here, choose the blinds) are quick to point out “They’re expensive!”, I’d still like something else.
