Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

BLIND ME! We have a beautiful view out the large picture window in our living room…unfortunately it gives our two dogs the perfect place to watch for squirrels-which often results in torn couch cushions.

    Blind me!

Our next-door neighbor, before we moved in built a large blue warehouse on his property without permits…and the previous owners were quite lazy with the statue of limitations.

And now, we look at a large blue warehouse all day. Ugh.

    BLIND ME!

We’ve done LOTS of renovating to our very first home. We’ve been in it about a year and we still only have two blinds – one in our bedroom and one in our bathroom. That being said, we need to purchase LOTS of blinds! I would first like to cover our kitchen window :) Thanks!

BLIND ME!!! Have a house really close to us and a window that looks right in the window of said house. I can actually watch my neighbors TV. I have cheap blinds up now but I would like something that would block the view and actually add to the decor of my house while doing it!!

    BLIND ME!

We currently have NO window coverings in our Kitchen which has almost an entire wall of glass leading out to our back porch. While all of the light is lovely, it would be great to have the option of closing things up so I could make coffee in my nightie.

Not really a bad view, just a need to replace some blinds that the previous owners put in. They don’t work at all, which makes things kind of annoying.

    BLIND ME!

We’ve always been city folks, but starting July 1, we need to move to suburban sprawl for my husband’s job. We initially weren’t excited, but we finally brainstormed some things that may be nice about suburban life – decorating a yard for Halloween, actually having trick-or-treaters, storage. That’s as far as we’ve gotten :) I KNOW that there will be some windows that will need covering and suburban vistas that I won’t want to see, so the blinds will be fabulous until we move back to a city :)

    BLIND ME!

We have vertical blinds in the dining area of our kitchen, and even though they’re fabric-covered, and even though my Mom and her sisters (those who helped my grandparents, the former dwellers here, choose the blinds) are quick to point out “They’re expensive!”, I’d still like something else. Perhaps some top-down, bottoms-up shades…or some sort of shutter.
