Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

I’d love to hide the living room view to the 7 wisteria-covered dying pine trees we need to have cut down. It’s depressing!

BLIND ME! We live in a very secluded natural area, so all our views are private and scenic. But I need those blinds for my teenage son’s bedroom. He doesn’t like any light to shine in at all. A few weeks ago, I walked into his room and he had duct-taped sleeping bags over his window. yep, you read that right. He is developing his inner cave man design skills. Anyway, I hope I win so I can go back into his room.

I am desperate for blinds for my bay window in my living room. The sizes are odd so I need custom sizes – and the fact that my cat has recently decided to tear one to near-shreds makes me think now’s a good time to replace them :)

    BLIND ME!

Our homes sunroom needs window coverings. We just ripped off the 20 year old broken vertical blinds that came with our new home purchase. Our noisy neighbor keeps commenting on every single change we make to our home because she can see right in. If only I could block her out with new blinds…”

    BLIND ME

Would love to cover my basement windows that look out underneath my deck and into the neighbors yard. This is my very first home of only six months and unfortunately my neighbor doesn’t take very good care of his home. Lost a lot of trees in a recent storm so our privacy has been vastly reduced. Nice blinds would make us forget we have a neighbor!!!!

BLIND ME! We are lucky enough to have pretty nice views from all of our windows, but since our house sits on a corner, we get a lot of street noise. New blinds would make a world of difference in shutting out noise while my two-year-old sleeps at night!

    BLIND ME!

We have a 4’x4′ window over our garden tub that we have yet to find blinds/curtains for. Half of our backyard backs up to the woods and I can’t figure out if our neighbor’s can actually SEE anything. BUT I am about 110% sure that if they can they will be happy to no longer have to witness my husband’s naked dance in the bathroom when he’s getting ready in the morning.
