Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

NextDayBlinds Image 2

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

I would love to have some custom blinds for our sunroom or for the weird, large triangular windows in our master bedroom.

    BLIND ME!

Our living/dining room has five (yes, five!) sliding doors with no window coverings to speak of. We need something creative and eye appealing to help protect our hardwood floors from the sun beating down on them, offer us some privacy from our neighbors, and a little escape from the heat during the summer.

    BLIND ME!

We moved into our new house a few months ago and have been giving the neighbors a show ever since. We had 2 large windows with original early 1900s shutters in our old place, so never worried about blinds until we moved here with large windows in every room! We put in one set of blinds in the living room, but would love to get a little help with providing ourselves some privacy in the other rooms!

We have a new old house and the living room slider shows us off to all our neighbors and the street behind us. I realized that one day on a jog down the street behind us, glanced through the neighbor’s yard as I ran by and there was my hubby standing at the kitchen sink! The pendant lights above the sink make it even more like you are on display under a spot light! Oops!
So, I don’t need to hide our view- just hide the view of us!

I have made curtains for 3 rooms so far, but have 7 rooms left….

Blind me! Err, my neighbor… My master bath window overlooks my side-entry driveway, just on the other side of which is my nosy neighbor’s house. She is really helpful* each week when she bolts out of her house at the crack of dawn to retrieve my garbage can from the curb and ever so slowly rolls it up my driveway, taking her sweet time to inspect my car/lawn/landscaping/entry, to bring it to the storage spot under the aforementioned bathroom window. Could I use this gift certificate to purchase blinds that are set to clamp shut as directed by a triggered motion sensor?
