Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

NextDayBlinds Image 2

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

    BLIND ME!

Our house is quite close to our neighbors. If it weren’t for the makeshift carport they made and our blinds, our bedroom windows would look straight into their back porch!

BLIND ME!! We live in a condo building built in the late 70s and have GIANT picture windows. Our craft room/guest room faces the alley and we can look directly into the windows of the adjacent building. Being in there feels like living in a fishbowl, but gaining privacy means putting down the rollershade which completely blocks the natural light. It sure would be great to get custom fitted blinds!

We have our kitchen windows to cover, even the door out to the garage!

You did not ask for this but two of my favorite views are:
1-The view of Honolulu & Diamond Head from the deck of the catamaran I used to work on.
2-The view from one of the upper floors of the Hilton Grand Vacation Hotel in Las Vegas. The city, Red Rocks and the desert.
Two different views, but stunning in so many ways!

    Thank you for the giveaway!

    Always, Teresa T.

I am so in need of blinds in my bathroom. We used to have a palm tree blocking our window above the tub but it died last year. So until the new baby palm tree grows up, my bathroom is completely visible. Did I mention we live on the 4th tee of a golf course? yep, if I’m not careful the golfers get a show….

    BLIND ME!!!

I’ve had these blinds on our bay windows that face the front of the house broken since we moved in. Since we don’t have the funds to fix them, we’ve taken an old curtain and put it over the front, the worse part of the blinds, in an attempt to have our neighbors not see into our living room. Occasionally, we will do our best to prop pillows up on the parts the curtain doesn’t cover, but it sure would be nice to simply have new blinds to give us a little privacy!

Our old neighbor did not like looking out of her window into our kitchen so occasionally she would put up signs in her window….such as “when are you moving”? What a hoot.
There have been many views from many a window but none with signage such as hers.
    Thanks for the give-away…..

Wow, the timing of this is perfect! We just bought a house with 80’s decor. We are redoing our bedroom and blinds are next on the list! People can see directly into our bedroom, and on top of that, they can see straight through the bedroom into the bathroom. We need to cover that up!

Oh my goodness… this couldn’t have come at a more perfect time! I’m a teacher at a residential treatment center for kids & for the kids’ birthdays I like to do something special since they live there & don’t get a normal party with a family! I’ve been slaving away in the kitchen for one of the girl’s birthdays tomorrow and have been BLINDED by the sun all afternoon.. to the point of a headache. Lame! I just got done telling my husband that we NEED to find some way to block out that sun!
