Fab Freebie: Love Is Blinds

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

Sure, we’d all love to gaze out of our home’s windows at some breathtakingly beautiful vista. But in reality, some windows are portals to the back of the neighbor’s fence, an unwelcome glare, or even the view of a man walking around in his tighty-whities all night because he doesn’t realize his curtains are sheer (true story from my New York City days – yup, just like the naked guy from Friends). All the more reason to appreciate window coverings, like these beauties from Next Day Blinds:

NextDayBlinds Image 1

This week Next Day Blinds is shucking out $200 to one lucky lad or lady to spend towards any custom-made, premium-quality, ready-the-next-day blinds, shades, sheers, rollers, romans or even shutters. And they’ve got enough styles to make your head spin (which you can browse right here).

Here are the giveaway deets:

  • PRIZE: $200 towards any Next Day Blinds order
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “BLIND ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a view you wish you could cover (or are glad that you’ve already covered). Maybe the neighbors can look right into your bathroom (or vice versa)? Or you once stayed in a hotel room with a not so nice view?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, November 10th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 50 United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

And our one lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Hien (who’s looking to cover up some sun-drenched kitchen windows). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Next Day Blinds.

    Blind me!

We currently have a pretty awesome view of our hoarder neighbor’s back yard. Right now they have two dining room tables, a brass chandelier, two complete bed frames, and miscellaneous 5 gallon buckets back there. Somehow our dinner parties always turn to conversations about what the inside must look like.

I’d love to when this for my mom–she has a large window she’s been wanting binds for, for what seems like forever!
    Thanks for the chance!

When I was growing up I lived in a rural area, and never had blinds on the windows!
Now I need them to block out the views from my suburban neighbors who live thisclose to me!

We’re moving to a new house so there are countless windows to cover! The most important one is the one in the shower!

We are desperately needing to cover the view through our french doors leading to the backyard. The shades are not so much for what we no longer want to see outside….but moreso what we want to stop showing the neighbors. :-)

One night we saw our neighbors in their kitchen, in their undies, getting a midnight snack. Sadly, they saw us gaping before we had a chance to dash for the blind cords and hit the deck. I’m not sure who was more embarrassed, them or us!

    BLIND ME!

On our honeymoon in Jamaica, the view from the sitting area and kitchen was beautiful, but unfortunately the view from the bedroom looked straight out onto a sidewalk that many, many people had to walk on to reach their villa. We had to cover that up not only so we wouldn’t have to look at them all the time, but also so they wouldn’t be looking at us either.

Blind me! When my husband and I got married, we moved in a 2 story house, which had a window in the hallway bt/w our bedroom and bathroom across the hall. We thought we were relatively careful when crossing-until our neighbor mentioned we might want to invest in some blinds..you know just in case. she was always watching us anyway so that made it even creepier…needless to say we purchased blinds that evening.

The front door Window. It is right in line with the bathroom door so if someone forgets to close the door and we get a visitor they could see what the person in the bathroom is doing.

I moved in September and while we got curtains for the bedrooms our living room and dining room windows are still bare. The living room is the worst because everyone can see in as they walk by the house, curtains just won’t fit well in the space and I haven’t been able to find any blinds that I like and can afford!
