Fab Freebie: It’s A One-derful Life

Toss on some old clothes, because four of you are about to get painting. This week’s giveaway will cover everything you’ll need, starting with $60 worth of Olympic ONE paint. ONE is Olympic’s new paint + primer in… wait for it… one. It hides stains, resists mildew, and survives scrubbing. And at about $25 per can, you’ll be able to score at least two cans with your prize (and maybe even an extra quart).

But you can’t paint without the proper supplies, so the folks over at StackExchange are also hooking up our four lucky winners with a bunch of stuff that we hand-picked for ya (cause we paint kind of a lot, actually). So we know good rollers, Frog Tape, a drop cloth, and a short handled brush can come in handy. If you still need another boost to get painting, head over to one of StackExchange’s 50+ community-driven Q&A sites. Their DIY channel in particular is always abuzz with topics like “What is low VOC paint?” or “Can you paint a popcorn ceiling?”

    ONE THING I WANT TO KNOW IS the gender of the baby in my belly!! I get to find out in less than a month, if everyone cooperates. So that gives you a pretty obvious clue to what I’d be using this painting prize for…yup, definitely nursery painting!

    ONE THING I WANT TO KNOW IS … where to buy a winning lottery ticket this week! Wouldn’t it be nice to no longer worry about the economic ups and downs?

    I have wanting to paint our current living room – we’re renters but have permission to paint. Our living/dining space is very dark (just one window) and is painted in an awful baby blue color. I’ve literally been having dreams about painting it a very pale turquoise! This prize would be AWESOME!

    ONE THING I WANT TO KNOW IS… will the projects around my house ever end? it seems like the more i complete the more i add to the list.. that just doesn’t seem right.. but i would love to paint the kitchen! its definitely in need of a face lift. its the one thing original in the house.

    Why I see a tiny hair when my glasses are on, not when they’re off and there’s nothing on the lens (I’ve cleaned it 4 times). What’s happening to me?!? Is this a sign of insanity or what?! :)

    Why every house we looked at on our house hunt had a blood red dining room? Now that we bought a house (with a blood red dining room), I could really use some paint to cover it up :)

    ONE THING I WANT TO KNOW IS – Regardless of how the coutnertop comes out, it’s still considered ‘refinished’..good or bad. And I’d like to know – how hard would it be to ‘etch’ kitchen sink windows with the brush on stuff?
