Fab Freebie: It’s A Cinch

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

People sometimes question the purpose of Twitter, but when it helps us find great giveaways it certainly earns another point in our book. So imagine our delight when Fresh Leaf Designs tweeted us about giving away their signature Cushion Corset pillows to one of our lucky readers.

Okay, so it was actually a mix of delight and confusion. After all, what’s a cushion corset anyway? It’s actually a very smart and stylish solution to dressing up a plain ol’ pillow. Just like the name indicates, the corset (i.e. a band of bold fabric) wraps around the pillow and ties in the back creating a punchy accent pillow that, if your mood changes, can easily be “re-dressed” in another corset for a completely new look. Easy, right?

Fresh Leaf Designs

And as you can see from these pictures, Fresh Leaf Designs also sells complimentary throw pillows in coordinating fabrics to help bring even more color to your couch, chair or bed.

Fresh Leaf Designs

So if you wanna snag a set of Fresh Leaf’s great designs, just comment on this post with the words “IT’S A CINCH” by Wednesday, April 29th at 8pm EST. And while you’re at it, tell us your easiest trick for dressing up your house in a flash (ex: fresh flowers? a quick window cleaning? a bowl of fruit on the table? simply making the bed?).

Fresh Leaf Designs

One winner will be randomly selected to receive their choice of the two pillow sets shown in this post. This giveaway’s open to all of our international readers as well as everyone in the good ol’ US of A. Please limit one entry per e-mail address. Good luck…

    It’s a cinch!

I often dim the lights and light candles when I need a quick spruce up– not only does it add a level of intimacy, but it helps hide dirt, flaws, etc.!

I clear away all the clutter, light a delicious smelling candle and grab flowers if I have time!

It’s a cinch! This guy’s quickest way to clean up a house before guests arrive is to stash things wherever they can be hidden — drawers, cabinets, dryers, you name it. I didn’t say I was proud of it, but you gotta do what you gotta do!

When we have company over we pick up all the rooms our guests are sure to enter, and close all the doors to the rooms they will not.

My fav quick fix-up trick is fresh flowers, arranged in small groupings in pretty vases spread throughout my apartment. And also, vacuuming our big rugs in the rooms people typically congregate in.

    Amanda,
you are so right about vacuuming!! I totally didn’t think to post that, but that’s one of the first things I do! It makes the places look crisp and clean in an instant.

For us it’s picking up all of the baby toys. We make a mad dash around our house picking up our darling’s toys, light some candles, turn on some lamps and say ‘welcome company’

IT’S A CINCH! A little vacuuming goes a long way, especially when you have a hairy dog and put it off.

Those pillows are adorable. We usually run around like crazy and pick up all the Legos on the floor, and run a quick vacuum through the house. If roses are in bloom outside, I pick a few and put them in a vase, and I make sure a bottle of wine is chilled and open before the guests arrive!
