Picture me! my current favourite is a little montage at the end of the video I made for my students. I just survived my first year of teaching and stayed up til 1 am making that video for them. I actually was in the bathtub upstairs that we don’t use and threw the signs together last minute (and also was not wearing makeup), but it turned out great. PICTURE ME, on top of a mountain crest on the West coast looking out over the Pacific. It’s one of my favorite pictures of me and it’s from my NYE trip to San Francisco and Tahoe. I had just gotten back from snowboarding in Tahoe for a few days and was driving up the West coast with a best friend. We stopped at a look out point and were sitting on the craggled rock eating our delish sandwiches that we had gotten at the pier in SF.
I was contemplating a lot about life, the direction I was headed in and the choices I was making. I was feeling morose but refreshed, a little life-tired, but like I had just been woken up. It was an amazing moment, and amazing feeling, and my best friend snapped a picture of me right then, just soaking in the spectacular view and all that life has to offer.
