PICTURE ME! My favorite photo of myself was taken just last week on my daughter’s third birthday. I was holding her in my lap and smiling at the camera, but she had turned her head right before the photo was taken and was staring and smiling adoringly at me. The photo took my breath away, what better way to capture her on her birthday than with her looking at her mommy with such love?

My current favorite picture is one of me and my fiancé from a recent mini vacation to NYC – we are standing on the Brooklyn Bridge with the Manhattan skyline in the background. My favorite picture of me (which I unfortunately cannot currently locate) was a self portrait taken by a point and shoot and as a mirror reflection. I wasn’t smiling so it’s a little more striking than the typical posed pictures. And it was taken during a more emotionally difficult time in my life, so it’s a reminder to keep going and that things will always get better.
