Fab Freebie: Gifts In Bloom

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won (and check out a special discount!)***

It’s the season of giving, aka: the season of gifting. Which is why this week’s giveaway from GiftTree.com should come in handy. Fresh blooms always make a room feel more festive and inviting, especially around the holidays. And GiftTree has a great selection of florals with some holiday flair:

Gift Tree Xmas Bouqet

And no worries if you’re having trouble deciding whether to send a bouquet to your loved one or just to yourself. The $100 gift card that’s up for grabs means you can actually do both.

Gift Tree Belle Ball

Here are all the dirty deets:

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards anything on GiftTree.com, including flowers (they’re made by local florists & may vary slightly from the pics).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIFT ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a time you were surprised by a gift (whether it was a bouquet of flowers or something else). Maybe your guy got you a dozen roses “just because”? Or you came home to a wrapped present on your half birthday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 8th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The fifty United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Not only do we have one winner, but everyone can get 10% off any order on GiftTree.com with code YHL10. Happy gifting everyone!

And our lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Roshni (who gets surprised often by her husband, so she couldn’t pick just one instance as her favorite). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from GiftTree.

Totally cheesy, but I was shocked on my 20th (yes, 20th!) birthday when my husband pulled out an engagement ring. One big yes, and six months later, we were hitched! Now we’re on our 6th baby!

I was having a bad day, so my hubby rushed home with flowers to cook me dinner, so I wouldn’t have to stress when I got home. He even had wine ready as well! What a guy. :)

GIFT ME! I started my new job on a Monday and my birthday was the following Friday. People were still learning my name but they somehow found out about my birthday and had a mini-celebration. It was so sweet and I’ve stuck with them now for almost seven years!

My husband is the king of giving flowers “just because” – usually accompanied by clean floors (for real!). But I also love it when he grabs a bag of Sour Patch Kids at the grocery store for me when he knows I’ve had a long work day. It’s the little things, for sure.

GIFT ME! My mom has always been a great surprise gift giver, for special occasions and randomly. I remember her showing up at my high school (boarding school) one day with the coolest pair of overalls – that I had been begging for (it was the late nineties, what can I say??)

My fiance showed up at my house after work on a random week day and had two beautiful pink roses he picked from his garden. He doesn’t do surprises often so it definitely got me, but it was just a sweet gesture that showed he was thinking about me.

The best give a gave was myself to my daughter, just last month. She has been diagnosed with gall bladder cancer and still is having problems associated with that. On top of it she has a 9 month old son. That was my gift, seeing him for the first time!

If I recieved the gift I woud send her a beautiful bouquet of flowers. She was just readmitted to the hospital on Saturday. I think they would make her day!

Probably the best present was for my 21st birthday. My, then boyfriend, said he really couldn’t afford to get my a whole lot, but wanted to take me on a picnic for my birthday, which I thought was great!! We go to the picnic, and he said he has a surprise, and pulls out an engagement ring!! We’ve been married for 3 1/2 years now and have an 11 mth old boy!! :) BEST present!! :)
