Fab Freebie: Gifts In Bloom

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won (and check out a special discount!)***

It’s the season of giving, aka: the season of gifting. Which is why this week’s giveaway from GiftTree.com should come in handy. Fresh blooms always make a room feel more festive and inviting, especially around the holidays. And GiftTree has a great selection of florals with some holiday flair:

Gift Tree Xmas Bouqet

And no worries if you’re having trouble deciding whether to send a bouquet to your loved one or just to yourself. The $100 gift card that’s up for grabs means you can actually do both.

Gift Tree Belle Ball

Here are all the dirty deets:

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards anything on GiftTree.com, including flowers (they’re made by local florists & may vary slightly from the pics).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIFT ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a time you were surprised by a gift (whether it was a bouquet of flowers or something else). Maybe your guy got you a dozen roses “just because”? Or you came home to a wrapped present on your half birthday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 8th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The fifty United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Not only do we have one winner, but everyone can get 10% off any order on GiftTree.com with code YHL10. Happy gifting everyone!

And our lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Roshni (who gets surprised often by her husband, so she couldn’t pick just one instance as her favorite). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from GiftTree.

My fiance used to surprise me at our old apartment with a bouquet of those cheap flowers from the check out line at Kroger during the winter. He’d pick them up on the way home from work and it always made our house seem brighter through the cold days!

My hubbie makes me music cd’s for each year we spend together. The year we got married, he included music from the south of France where we honeymooned. Each time I listen to those cd’s I’m reminded of that particular year’s highlights together!

GIFT ME! One day in 3rd grade we pulled apart wishbones, and I wished for the Polly Pocket Mansion. When I got home, my mom let me open a birthday present early and there it was! Wishbones have never worked quite that well since.

On our first anniversary, my husband got me 3 stacks of 12×12 scrapbooking paper (since first is paper). one of the stacks was bumpy and when i opened it up, there was a ring taped inside – the ring was the original wedding band that matched my engagement ring (I didn’t get it because it had diamonds in it and in my line of work i cant wear stones so i have a plain wedding band) except two of the ten diamonds had been replaced with our birthstones. he said that the rest of the rings diamonds will be replaced with our kids birthstones when we have some little ones. (and with the extra diamonds that we take out we are going to craft something for our kids to pass down) he is so sweet <3"

This may sound lame but when I found out I was pregnant I obsessed over one baby gear item after another. I left post-its by my desk at home with my final decisions just so I wouldn’t forget and to watch out for deals. On Valentine’s Day my husband surprised me with my stroller choice. I LOVED it so much more than the flowers or dinner.

My husband actually is great about sending me flowers ‘just because’ – I’m quite lucky! The biggest surprise had to be when he proposed – it was certainly the best surprise and gift ever, and while I think I’m pretty hard to surprise, he definitely did surprise me that day!

Please… GIFT ME! What a beautiful idea you all have here. It’s a beautiful gesture.

My boyfriend surprised me with some Victoria’s Secret body creams one day after plans to go out with friends fell through. As we all know, being able to go out with friends doesn’t always come easy, therefore when my plans did not pan out, he felt really bad for me. Awww! It was a moment to remember.

For our three-year anniversary there was what I believed to be a tacit no-presents agreement reached about a week ahead, when we both sheepishly revealed we hadn’t bought anything. Much to my surprise, when the actual day arrived, three thoughtful, and over-the-top generous gifts appeared for me. Wonderful little liar he is.

My big brother sent me flowers, delivered to my high school in a HUGE basket with a big bunch of balloons attached. I had to carry them around school all day, which meant I got recognition from EVERYONE! Now, I’m not generally fond of that much attention, but on my 18th birthday, it was great! I love my brother, he’s so sweet!
