Fab Freebie: Gifts In Bloom

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won (and check out a special discount!)***

It’s the season of giving, aka: the season of gifting. Which is why this week’s giveaway from GiftTree.com should come in handy. Fresh blooms always make a room feel more festive and inviting, especially around the holidays. And GiftTree has a great selection of florals with some holiday flair:

Gift Tree Xmas Bouqet

And no worries if you’re having trouble deciding whether to send a bouquet to your loved one or just to yourself. The $100 gift card that’s up for grabs means you can actually do both.

Gift Tree Belle Ball

Here are all the dirty deets:

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards anything on GiftTree.com, including flowers (they’re made by local florists & may vary slightly from the pics).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIFT ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a time you were surprised by a gift (whether it was a bouquet of flowers or something else). Maybe your guy got you a dozen roses “just because”? Or you came home to a wrapped present on your half birthday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 8th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The fifty United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Not only do we have one winner, but everyone can get 10% off any order on GiftTree.com with code YHL10. Happy gifting everyone!

And our lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Roshni (who gets surprised often by her husband, so she couldn’t pick just one instance as her favorite). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from GiftTree.

    GIFT ME!!!

For Christmas last year, my boyfriend got me a weekender bag. I had be bringing my stuff over in tote bags or store bags and so he got me a “proper bag” but this wasn’t all. He brought me into the bedroom closet (it’s a huge walkin) and the entire right side was cleared out. In it was my bag. He told me to open it – a set of his house keys and the garage door opener was in it. He said “I want you to feel at home. I give you half the closet, I cleaned out half of the bathroom and I want your car to have a space in the garage and you to have keys to the house”. I was shocked. I loved it.

Before we got married my Husband showed up at my parents house (across the country) on Christmas. I hadn’t seen him in two months and didn’t think that I would get a chance to see him for another three months.

    GIFT ME!

I’m very lucky to have a lot of people who have surprised me with gifts! But one of my favorites was my guy roommate leaving flowers and a gift certificate to a local restaurant on my dresser the day I finished my first-year law school exams. No, he had no ulterior motive – just a great friend!!

Suprised by an anonomous person with a bouqet of flowers on my first day of work! Found out who sent it – a close friend that later became my husband. I still think it all stemmed back from that bouqet. :)

    Gift me please! :)

I think my favorite gift would be a poorly handmade valentines day card from my husband… the outside said “i love you” and the inside said “even if you burn pancakes”.
    (*** side note ***)
i had ATTEMPTED to make heart shaped pancakes for valentines day breakfast but burned them something fierce… i was upset.

his cute note put me in the right frame of mind… and still does. its on the side of our fridge… facing the stove… just in case. :)

    love,

    Jessi

GIFT ME! I really wanted a surprise party as a gift for my 16th birthday. My mom kept saying “the surprise is- there’s no surprise party.” The week before my birthday we were invited last minute to eat out with friends of the family. Instead, I walked into my favorite restaurant with my closest girlfriends waiting for me! I still love surprises and I’m expecting one for my 30th… in 5 years!

My mom is one of those amazing people who sends gifts just because she’s thinking of you. They’re never anything extravagant – they’re always the “I remember you saying you needed a small reusable bag and I saw this one and here you go” variety. Which is absolutely my favorite kind of gift :)

GIFT ME! My sophomore year of high school, all my close friends had “significant others” for Valentine’s Day. I did not. I had been lamenting my singleness for weeks. Imagine my surprise when in the middle of chemistry, the school secretary delivers a dozen roses to me from a “secret admirer.” I knew it was my dad, but I didn’t tell anyone else. He sent me flowers or chocolates every Valentine’s Day and had them delivered to school. It always made me feel very loved.
