Fab Freebie: Gifts In Bloom

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won (and check out a special discount!)***

It’s the season of giving, aka: the season of gifting. Which is why this week’s giveaway from GiftTree.com should come in handy. Fresh blooms always make a room feel more festive and inviting, especially around the holidays. And GiftTree has a great selection of florals with some holiday flair:

Gift Tree Xmas Bouqet

And no worries if you’re having trouble deciding whether to send a bouquet to your loved one or just to yourself. The $100 gift card that’s up for grabs means you can actually do both.

Gift Tree Belle Ball

Here are all the dirty deets:

  • PRIZE: An $100 gift card towards anything on GiftTree.com, including flowers (they’re made by local florists & may vary slightly from the pics).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “GIFT ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us about a time you were surprised by a gift (whether it was a bouquet of flowers or something else). Maybe your guy got you a dozen roses “just because”? Or you came home to a wrapped present on your half birthday?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 8th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The fifty United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

Not only do we have one winner, but everyone can get 10% off any order on GiftTree.com with code YHL10. Happy gifting everyone!

And our lucky winner (as selected by random.org) is… Roshni (who gets surprised often by her husband, so she couldn’t pick just one instance as her favorite). Congrats!

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from GiftTree.

The greatest surprise I’ve ever received was the day my husband proposed. I was at work… he sent me a message of love via youtube… then he surprised me mid-day and whisked me away from work! We went to a bed and breakfast up in the mountains and he proposed on a hike :)

Yesterday was our six months anniversary of being married!

    GIFT ME!

When I was a teenager, my dad and I had a fight (probably because I was going through my annoying stage) When I got home from school that day, there was a knock on the door and I recieve a beautiful Ice cream Sundae Flower arrangement with a note from my daddy. He’s such a good Man.

    GIFT ME!

One of my favorite surprise gifts was from my husband. We love to have fresh flowers in the house, but cut them out of the budget for a while when we were trying to reduce expenses. My hubs used his lunch break to make me origami versions of my favorite flower! I still have them on my desk at work to make me smile.

My boyfriend, now husband, found his way into one of my college classes with a dozen roses.

    “GIFT ME!”

One month to the day before we got married, my hubby-to-be sent a HUGE bouquet of flowers to my place work with a card that said “one month to go. can’t wait”. It was sooooo romantic.

I am constantly surprised by treats and trinkets. My mother makes a habit of always giving me something when I go home. Other Thanksgiving she gave me a chocolate advent calendar to count down to when I’d be home again for Xmas. Every day I am reminded how soon I get to see my family again ;) I’d love to send her and my grandmother a little treat with the gift card!

    Gift me!

Awhile back my husband surprised me with two gifts when I was flying home – one, by driving to the Denver airport (where I had a layover) so I didn’t have to wait to fly into Colorado Springs to see him, and two, by buying a cute toy/plush flower with a smiley face on it. Besides being a sweet gesture, he knew I’d been keeping an eye out for things for a “toy window-box” for future kiddos. What a sweetheart!

    GIFT ME!!

Shortly after we started dating I was working as the front desk receptionist of a hotel and my boyfriend had a beautiful bouquet of flowers delivered to me. I displayed them on the counter and all day long guests were complementing the arrangement.
The best part is that my boyfriend will still surprise me with flowers or icecream, “just because”. :)

When I turned sixteen my parents left a big bouquet of peach roses on the stairs in the morning. I’m not big on flowers and I don’t like pink, but the peach flowers to mark the day were perfect. No card (not needed) and no bigger hoopla than I had for any other birthday, just simple, perfect flowers. I plan on doing the same thing if I have a daughter.

A few months after we started dating my now-husband ran out for coffee and returned with a sheaf of white lilies – and I’d never told him that was my favorite flower. When we got married, there were two DIY white lily arrangements on either side of the archway, a reminder of that gift.

I love Classic Pooh and had been eyeing the Classic Pooh plush in the baby section at Target, even though walking in that general direction always made my husband nervous (we don’t have kids yet). One Christmas, that Classic Pooh made it under our tree and it was very thoughtful.
