A few months ago my husband and I had picked out paint for several rooms but hadn’t painted yet. I had to attend a conference on a Saturday and came home to a perfectly painted (and put back together) dining room! The best gift was when my husband surprised me by coming home for the weekend back in October! We’re 4 hours apart while I’m working and he’s finishing up his last year of school, so weekend time together is very precious. When I was in grad school and dating my long distance boyfriend, I remember walking out of my office (for my assistantship) to go to class and seeing a Delivery guy carrying in flowers. I thought “aww, that’s so cute! Someone’s getting flowers!” A couple hours later I went back to the office and those flowers were sitting on my desk!
