I’ve been surprised by a few excellent gift givers but my two favorites are from my husband. The fist is when I came home from work to find a cute Christmas box waiting for me. Inside was the cutest fluffiest white Himalayan kitten! The second and most fun had to be when I was entering a magazine contest every month to try and win one of their giveaways. I was sad that I never won and began to get a pessimistic view on giveaways. Then one day a package arrived for me and inside was my favorite perfume and a note saying I had won! It only took a second to realize that the handwritten note was from my husband! What a wonderful guy!

It was when the hubbs prepared a picnic with all the details taken care of–he had the car all packed with everything, and even had the canoe and life jackets all ready to go. After our picnic, he took me on a canoe ride around the entire lake. He told me to “just relax” and let him do all the work. :) Sweet!

I had a boyfriend during college and one semester I had one class that was at night once a week. This particular year it happened to fall on Valentine’s Day, so we planned on going out to dinner that following Friday instead. Boyfriend told me he was going to grab burgers from Chili’s and have them at my place when I got home from class. I get back from class only to find my entire living room and kitchen lit by tons of small white candles and he had cooked us filet mignons and had all these other presents for me. I walked in the door speechless and boyfriend said “Sorry, Chili’s was out of burgers tonight.” LOL!
