Y’all have heard of a little thing called Pantone, right? Well the folks who declared Emerald the color of the year have a slew of color experts who have also inspired a line of paint. And our bloggy friend/decorative painter Kristen clued us into MyColor inspired by Pantone – which is a series of project-sized paints for furniture, accessories, walls and beyond. In addition to the cool clear packaging, these quarts of eggshell paint (which are sold online and at Lowe’s) are ultra low VOC, stain blocking, and self priming. And one of you is gonna get EIGHT quarts in any of their 49 paint colors!

    PANTONE ME

    I’m really feeling the gray this year. I’ve loved gray for so long, all the way back when beige was really in it’s “prime”. But I stuck with the deep earth tones of browns and deep reds to stay safe and to keep with what had been in style in my area.

    Now I don’t care anymore, and am painting pretty much all my rooms in various shades of gray with hints of blue or green (even a little tan). It feels good to finally go with what I really like. And because I don’t have one true favorite color and tend to use a lot of different colors all over, gray is so perfect.

    PANTONE ME!

    Gray, dark gray, light gray…in my wardrobe and on my walls. I think it’s the ultimate canvas for any and every pop of color.

    Olive green seems to be my color this year. I find myself working it into each room of my house.

    PANTONE ME!

    My color of the year would be grey! That was one of the colors in our wedding last May and, varying shades of grey keep finding themselves in our home that we bought in March!

    Pantone Me!

    Well, normally I’m not into green, but I have fully jumped on the emerald train. Just bought a super fun emerald clutch and nail polish. I just need an occasion to bust them out.

    PANTONE ME!

    I am loving blues and yellows this year! We just did our living room a lovely pale icy blue and plan to do the nursery with white and yellow horizontal stripes.

    Currently I’m going through a serious navy kick, coral and turquoise are two favorites as well and they pair so nicely with navy!

    Pantone me! I’m loving the greens — Emerald City and all. The lime greens are my favorite in fashion, but more subdued for paint colors.

    pantone me! Emerald green has always been my favorite color, so I was thrilled to see it listed this year. But I also have a soft spot in my heart for bright yellow, teal and aqua as well!

    PANTONE ME
    It was sometime during my college years when I realized that I was forgoing my usual choice of all things orange for green. It struck me as a bit of a fluke, but that year I bought a light lime green peacoat from Gap. It’s now at least six years later and I have a neutral bedroom with pops of green and a “lime green squeeze” Escape, so I’m going to go ahead and say lime green :)

    Pantone me! My color this year is definitely green. I’ve been loving green accents for the kitchen, and the beautiful green leaves on the trees this spring have been making me want to add some fun green things to my little girl’s room.

    PANTONE ME! I love orangey reds and aqua of any shade, and especially when they work together. From my sparkly mermaid aqua ballet flats and my aqua glasses frames, to my aqua fireplace and orange red front door – I love them both!

    Pantone me! I think my color of the year is grey (though its been my color of the year foe a few years). I also love pops of colors.

    Pantone me! In my opinion the whole world should be yellow. My relationship with the color has developed into a serious obsession. I think the grey NW clouds have something to do with it.

    PANTONE ME because I need to paint a wall ochre yellow to give my living room some pop (and justify the purchase of some new throw pillows). My color of the year is lime green…clothes, handbag, fabric….now that I think about it, I really need some lime green nail polish!
