Y’all have heard of a little thing called Pantone, right? Well the folks who declared Emerald the color of the year have a slew of color experts who have also inspired a line of paint. And our bloggy friend/decorative painter Kristen clued us into MyColor inspired by Pantone – which is a series of project-sized paints for furniture, accessories, walls and beyond. In addition to the cool clear packaging, these quarts of eggshell paint (which are sold online and at Lowe’s) are ultra low VOC, stain blocking, and self priming. And one of you is gonna get EIGHT quarts in any of their 49 paint colors!

    I am loooving the Emerald! I like anything in the turquoise spectrum, but this year I’ve got to go with seafoam green!

    PANTONE ME!
    I seem to be painting lots of things in really bright colors this year, neon pink, orange and retro aqua. But there is also something to be said for the perfect soft gray

    PATONE ME! I’m totally on board with the emerald. I bought some emerald chino shorts from J. Crew last summer, wore them as much as I possibly could without people thinking I was unclean, and have been craving emerald everything since. Fortunately/unfortunately now that it’s the color of the year I have a great excuse to purchase!

    PANTONE ME! I am absolutely LOVING teal at the moment. It seems as though half of the things I own for my dorm room are somewhere in the teal color family. :)

    PANTONE ME! My closet definitely says orange. I didn’t think it applied to my decor then I saw the Roman shade I copied from you guys. I made it from a scrap I bought. It’s a fun pop of orange in our living room! Makes me happy!

    PANTONE ME! Only one? I’m into the colors of faux vintage globes. I know, weird. Browns, golds, and the ocean colors.

    I saw a robin’s egg yesterday and now I’m in love with robin’s egg blue again.
    As someone working in the printing industry… I can clearly say that PANTONE rocks!

    Pantone me!

    I love green. In March I do 30 days of Green wearing green and taking a picture of something green. Shamrock green is my favorite shade. I’m currently trying to figure out a shade of green for my kitchen.

    Pantone me! My vote for color of the year would be white. That way people would complain about it all year long, which would greatly amuse me.
