Y’all have heard of a little thing called Pantone, right? Well the folks who declared Emerald the color of the year have a slew of color experts who have also inspired a line of paint. And our bloggy friend/decorative painter Kristen clued us into MyColor inspired by Pantone – which is a series of project-sized paints for furniture, accessories, walls and beyond. In addition to the cool clear packaging, these quarts of eggshell paint (which are sold online and at Lowe’s) are ultra low VOC, stain blocking, and self priming. And one of you is gonna get EIGHT quarts in any of their 49 paint colors!

    Ocean Depths – we seem to be all things turquoise this year. Though grey is a CLOSE second.

    PANTONE ME!

    I’m tending toward bright, simple, intense colors. Take the standard Crayola 8-pack, throw away the black and brown, and those are the colors I’m drawn to right now.

    PANTONE ME!

    Personally, Emeerald has been my least favorite Pantone CotY in a long time. However, as a graphic designer, I’m pretty stoked that Pantone is suddenly trending with non-creatives as well. Helps educate our clients for us! :)

    My color of the year is pretty much always shades of blue. Tho, I’m pretty in love with magenta with navy right now. Magnavy?

    PANTONE ME! I have been on a prolonged turquoise love affair, but I’m also in love with orange and yellow the right contexts, so… it’s hard to say. I need a context to declare a favorite color!

    pantone me!

    i about died when i saw emerald was the color of the year, so this is my year! i love the richness of emerald. i’m also digging mint/coral combo that’s so popular these days.

    PANTONE ME!!

    It’s so hard to pick just one. If I did have to pick it’d be Peacock Blue/teal. And yes it has inspired many ‘color’ purchases including sunglasses and wall paint.

    I’m a perpetual fan of grey, but this year I’m also into teal of various shades and recently repainted our bathroom a bright teal and have it kind of beach themed.

    my daughter (among many other things) would love the only big wall in her room painted as a rainbow and 8 colors would be perfect for this project!!!

    Lately I have been obsessed with coral – there are touches in every room of the house! And I always love a beautiful rich navy. Ooh – coral AND navy = Heaven!
