Fab Freebie: Gettin’ Jiggy With It

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

If you read this morning’s post about DIYing some wood shelves for the nursery, then it should come as no surprise that this week’s giveaway is from Kreg Tools. They’re giving one of you the chance to take home their Kreg Jig, so – no matter your skill level – you can feel like real woodworker.

Kreg Jig Materials

After all, I hardly consider myself to be a master craftsman, but after my latest shelf-building adventure I’m itching to tackle more wood-related projects. They really can be addicting…

Shelves Close

In addition to the Jig itself, this week’s winner will also be snagging a 675-piece Screw Kit, a Face Clamp and a set of project plans to get you started. So with all that at your disposal, I promise not to be jealous if you build something more complex than me. Here’s how to enter:

  • PRIZE: A Kreg Jig, Screw Kit, Face Clamp and set of project plans.
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … tell us about your dream wood-related project. Is there something you’ve always wished you could build? Or a renovation that you dream of tackling with your own two hands?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, April 7th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: All 50 of the United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

“I’M GETTIN’ JIGGY”…Great job on the nursery!! I’m close to finishing my first big dream renovation…completely renovating our fixer-upper vacation/retirement condo in beautiful Daytona Beach, FL. The kitchen (my first ever all by myself) is done, with the exception of the bamboo hardwood flooring. I know my better half already has more projects in mind for me…but that’s okay…’cause I’m having the time of my life…making HER dreams come true!! …and that’s the secret to YOUR happiness!!

I soooo want to build my own furniture. Once we’re out of rental limbo, I plan on building most of Ana’s plans over at Knock Off Wood . . . starting with a California King-sized Farmhouse Bed.

That jig will come in really handy! :o)

At any rate, I seriously live in a duplex that has 816 sq ft of space… I would totally use this to build lots of closet organizers. (Our home is very old, and so far every stupid closet organizer in our price range, is too big for the small itty bitty closets.) And then of course it would be on to repurpose the outgrown toddler bed into a kids couch for my girls. Just needs a bit of reenforcement! (Somehow…)And goodness, I could go on. We’re pretty much redoing the entire duplex to make it livable! At any rate, hopefully the randomness finds me!

What a wonderful prize this would be. I am designing a horizontal gun cabinet that would house 7 rifles and 5 pistols plus ammunition with an insert in the top to hold magazines and controllers of various sorts to when the top is opened only the magazines and such would be visible. The measurements would be 60″LX34″WX28″H.
    Thank you for this opportunity.
